Also, it will note the complicated situation in the Middle East between the Umayyad and the Abbasid dynasties, the culmination of which led the surviving Umayyads far to Europe to conquer a part of the territory of contemporary Spain. After the Muslim expansion then on the Iberian Peninsula, the thesis continues to view the lines of conquerors and analyse sources, which document us their point of view focused on newly gained territories and confrontation with local citizens of Christian culture, over whom they took domination. The thesis does not ignore also other reactions from the Christian rulers, who have ruled near the area where expansion happened and later became even their matter. Important is also perception of the new domination by just local citizens, survivors, who stayed in Andalusia despite the Islamic annexation under the Umayyad flag led by Abd ar-Rahman.
