Functional polymer foams
Hána, Tomáš ; Pospíšil, Ladislav (referee) ; Jančář, Josef (advisor)
Functional polymer foams are considered as a promising field which could potentially produce foams with added value. Specifically, functionally graded foams are materials which are expected to provide better mechanical properties while preserving low density in comparison with regular foams. In this thesis, a preparation process of such foams is designed, examination of prepared structure and comparison of mechanical properties with regular foams is performed. The obtained results are discussed and further research in this field is proposed.
Evaluation of electrochemical characteristics of AZ31 wrought magnesium alloy
Hána, Tomáš ; Tkacz, Jakub (referee) ; Drábiková, Juliána (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of electrochemical characterization of AZ31 wrought magnesium alloy, which was exposed to corrosive environment of 0.1 moldm3 solution of sodium chloride. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and potentiodynamic tests were used for evaluation of electrochemical characteristics such as corrosion rate, corrosion current density, corrosion potential and polarization resistance. There is a summary of ways of a production of magnesium alloys, influence of alloying element on properties of material and types of corrosion, which leads to degradation of material in the theoretical part. In the experimental part there is characterization of used methods, summary of results and a discussion of obtained data and its comparison.
Selected public service media and their activity to increase digital literacy in society
Hána, Tomáš ; Moravec, Václav (advisor) ; Lovaš, Karol (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the concept of digital literacy in relation to public service media. The theoretical part first clarifies the conceptualisation of digital literacy, then analyses the development of the term from its first occurrences to its current understanding. It then discusses the relevance of digital literacy in European legislation, especially in the context of long-term strategies, analyses the current situation with digital skills in Europe and describes the educational role of public service media. In the methodological part, it defines the research methods, the theoretical background and the explanation of their application in the follow-up research part, operationalises the concept of digital literacy and defines the research sample. The research part comparatively examines the activities of the public service media BBC and Czech Television, first in the programme offer, then in the web-based educational portals. The research part concludes with an analysis of content on web-based educational portals focused on the development of digital competences, applying the DigComp framework.
