The thesis deals with design and development of an off-line charger device for travel use. It is based on an accumulator that is being charged continuously using a solar cell. Alternatively the accumulator can be charged using a standard USB port. One of the key requirements on the device was simplicity of its circuitry in order to make the device cheaper and more reliable.
