The professionalization of SEVER (NGO)

The thesis is dealing with the problematic of professionalisation of non governmental organizations (NGO's). Its main aim is to describe as well as analyze the process of professionalisation of one specific NGO (SEVER) taking in account the processes occurring in relation with financing by the European Union foundations. The theoretical part of the thesis is covering the basic theoretical approaches to the process of professionalisation at one hand and the attitudes of the single representatives of NGO's on the other hand, via researches and analyses done on this topic or by monitoring of the day to day work of several NGO's with respect to the process of professionalisation. The given theoretical basic defines the concept of professionalisation which meaning is used in this thesis; the meaning of the definition of professionalisation includes the processes happening or that had happened in the chosen NGO (SEVER) in relation to increase the quality of services offered. The empiric part of the theses follows the mentioned processes through the case study in the chosen NGO (SEVER) and the processes occurring in interaction of the organization (SEVER) with its surroundings. At the end of the theses there is the gained knowledge summed up and evaluated.
