Treatment complication in patients with dual diagnosis - substance dependence and affective disorders. Case study

This bachelor case study is named "Treatment complications in patients with dual diagnoses - substance dependence and affective disorders". It refers to the issue of treating clients with dual diagnoses. The main aim of the work is to find and map the possible factors that complicate the treatment of patients with dual diagnoses and contribute to the discussion on this topic. The methdology within this work consists of literature research and collected data from patients who have provided their personal information; which helped to emphasize some of the findings associated with the complexities of a treatment processes for patients with dual disorders. From the methodological standpoint, the research was carried out on the basis of partially structured interviews, standardized questionnaires, observation and comparison of client's stories. The result of the research was interpreted as the most recurrent formulas views and experience that patients perceive as a possible medical complications in the relation to their dual diagnoses. An important element in the research of this thesis is the fact that all participants perceived at least one medical complication during their treatment. Awareness of clients of selected K-centre of addiction treatment options

This bachelor thesis named Awareness of clients of selected K-centre of addiction treatment options in theoretical part deals with a phenomenon of drug addiction. It describes the definition of pathological addiction, models of dependence, types of drugs and treatment options in the Czech Republic. The research part seeks to answer the research goals and assumptions of respondents of selected K-centre. The main aim of the research part is to find out specific information about clients of selected K-centre and to explore their drug experiences. Sub-goals tend to indentify a socio- demographic data about clients of K-centre and their awareness of treatment options of drug abuse. The last sub-goal tries to find out information about clients drug dependence treatment. For a data collection was used a structured questionnaire which contained 10 closed or semi-closed questions. The questionnaire survey was carried out within one working week in selected contact centre in Prague. There were collected answers from 24 respondents (16 men and 8 women). The research survey shows that awareness of clients of selected K-centre of addiction treatment options is very high. It was also found that the majority of respondents is treating or was treated for their addiction dependence (except treatment in K-centre)....
Tobacco products smoking prevention at selcted primary schools in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with smoking school-based preventive programmes. The main aim of the thesis is to find out whether selected primary schools in the Czech Republic use and implement addictological preventive programmes and specific smoking preventive programmes. The work is based on theoretical background dealing with the phenomenon of smoking, its aetiology, its consequences, prevention, school prevention of risk behaviour and its importance in school education plans or school prevention methodologist as a one of the key actors in school prevention. Another aim is to clarify the use of smoking school-based preventive programmes, its provider, and how school prevention methodologist subjectively evaluates these programmes. A questionnaire was created for data collection, which was provided to all primary schools (or school prevention methodologist) in Prague, which are listed in the register of the Ministry of Education. The results of the research have shown that most of schools had an addictological prevention programme in their current or lasting school plan, nearly half of respondents confirmed realization of a smoking school-based preventive programme.
