The Proposal for the Development of a Business Strategy for a Retailer of Wine on the Local Market

Diploma thesis deals with the development of business strategy of a small wine retailer in the context of a local market. The aim of the thesis is to propose development of business activities of retailer based on analyses and evaluation of the current situation, which will lead to strengthening the position on the market. The thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part deals with a literature search in the context of business development, business and marketing strategy and selected analytical-research methods. The analytical part is devoted to the application of the chosen methods of external and internal environment in the context of the company’s situation, along with a survey of the satisfaction of existing customers with subsequent evaluation of the results for following proposals for solutions. The proposal contains a modification of the business strategy which is elaborated into marketing activities, including implementation and evaluation of the potential risks of the proposals and benefits leading to strengthening the position of the company on the local market.
