Genius loci and the new urban structure

The assignment of the diploma thesis is the design of a new city structure and the strengthening of the genius loci in the city of Třebíč. In the 1980s there was a construction of large-capacity bus station together with main road which has led to demoition of multiple original historic building and changing the character of the area. The main idea of the proposal is respecting of the existing structure and especially finding the values and genius loci. The proposal is to gently complete the structure with adding stories and creating new block structure which clearly defines public and private space. The proposal envisages the construction of a southern bypass, which allows the modification of the main roads in the center. Other elements of the design are the discovery, modification of the line and access to the Stařečka stream, reconstruction of the bus station and improvement of pedestrian permeability through the area. The newly designed development is mostly residential in order to increase the density of inhabitants living in the city center and at the same time to limit the expansion of the built-up area by residential development into the landscape.

Gymnasium Dolní Kounice

The subject of this bachelor thesis is to design new building of the gymnasium of the elementary school in Dolní Kounice. The project is based on a study created in the summer semester 2019 in the subject called AG035 „Ateliér architektonické tvorby 5“. Mass of the new created gymnasium responds to surroundings, which consisting of steep hills with wine cellars and buildings of elementary school and kindergarten. All those mass form optically enclosed space. The building therefore is located under the terrain and blending with the surrounding as much as possible. Only visible mass from the outside is green roof in the shape of barrel vault, which freely passes into the surrounding grassy area and it is also open to public. It seems like big green hill in exterior. Only markable exterior elements are the main entrance and escape exits, chimney and skylights. The designed gymnasium has a rectangular shape of floorplan and the building is devied into three floor acording the functions. In the first floor, there is entrance hall, first underground floor is mainly for the public and second underground floor is for the athletes. The project also include athletic track 60 m, new outdoor playground for elementray school and kindergarden, new parking places, new road leading along the steep hills and underground corridor, which conects school with gymnasium in second ground floor.

El huacho figure: the identity of mestizos in Chile

This diploma thesis deals with mestizaje and illegitimacy matters within Chile and Latin America. In consequence, it is focusing on reflexion of these phenomenons in literature, principally in essays. In the introduction to the thesis, I describe unique and peculiar features of Chilean identity and there also appears a definition of the chilenidad conception. The main attention is concentrated on el huacho figure as it symbolizes Chilean illegitimacy and mestizaje. The main aim of this thesis was to find out similar and dissimilar attributes between the huacho and Chilean society. In addition, patrial aim was to decide whether the huacho belongs either to location or to community. Final part is dedicated to comparison of huacho and pachuco figures and, it also confronts Chilean essays with Octavio Paz essay works. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The diploma thesis deals with problematic areas and advantages in family business in agriculture. The first part of the thesis is focused on the analysis of secondary data, where family farms in the Czech Republic are described, as well as farms in the world. Comprehensive analysis is performed to collect primary data based on in-depth interviews with owners of family farms. Based on collected information, the major problem areas of family farms are identified and recommendations for their enhancment are proposed.

This bachelor thesis deals with suggestion of marketing strategy for particular business subject. First part concentrates on marketing strategy, marketing of services, marketing mix and tourism together with accommodation sector. In the second part of thesis is effected description of the pension and its marketing mix, internal and external analysis and resulting SWOT analysis. Marketing research is another source for creation suggestion. Final part summarises all pieces of knowledge and presents recommendation to increase attendance and also profit of pension.
