Stephane Grappelli - life and work, violin technique

The goal of bachelor thesis on topic „Stephane Grappelli – life and his work, violin technique“ is an attempt to give a closer look on interesting and diverse life of Stephane Grappelli, his various aspects, which had, in a flow of time, influence for the birth of the jazz violin discipline and without any doubts on one of the best jazz violin players in a history. Since his early years in orphanage, influence of his bohemian father, through music school and artistic environment of the parisien Montmartre, followed by his engagement with Gregorians, Quintet of the Hot Club of France, cooperation with Django Reinhardt up to other significant life moments, throughout which, the violin technique, described in the following part of the theses, used by Grappelli during his plays, has been dynamically evolved, and which gaves the solid ground for violin improvisation, which from his work, not tangible and complete in pieces, but a perfect guidance for jazz violinist od today´s era.
