FRANCOVÁ, Alexandra
The aim of this thesis is to describe the impact on the psyche and overall psychosocial well-being of a small child if it is placed in the daily institutional care due to the entry to employ- ment of mother. The theoretical part focuses at first on the excursion into history with regard to the deve-lopment of women and children in society. Subsequently the current situation of women in employment and the impact of their absence for the small child from a psychological perspective is mapped. The practical part is devoted to identify how far the mental and emotional development of the child can be negatively affected when a mother takes up an employment early and a child is placed in a preschool facility during the time of her absence in the family.
