Egypt: Economy and position in the international tourism market

The diploma thesis deals with economy of Egypt and its position in the international tourism market. The aim of the thesis is to analyse economy and tourism of Egypt and define their relationship. The thesis is focused on the period of global economic crises and the following political crises, and tries to emphasize the impact of these two events. The thesis is divided into three chapters; the first one is a theoretical basis for the analysis itself. The second chapter is devoted to an outline of the political situation and analyses development of the main macroeconomic indicators in the context of the events of past few years. The third chapter analyses tourism and its effect on the economy.

The importance of tourist information centres in the field of promotion of the food service establishments

This bachelor thesis is focused on the opportunities of promotion of Czech gastronomy through tourist information centres. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the cooperation of tourist information centres with restaurants in Prague in the field of promotion of Czech gastronomy and the food service establishments themselves. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one is purely theoretical and deals with the marketing instruments in the tourism industry. The second part of the thesis describes services provided by Prague information service. The last chapter includes the analysis of the cooperation of the information centres with restaurants and several suggestions for possible improvements.
