Access control system using multilevel authentication
Cvrček, Tadeáš ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Dzurenda, Petr (advisor)
The master's thesis focuses on authenticated key agreement protocols and their implementation on MultOS smart cards platform and devices running Google Android operating system. Implemented applications use NFC (Near Field Communication) interface for communication with cellphone, Bluetooth technology for communication with smart watch and smart card as SAM (Secure Access Module) module in a verifier role. The source code is universal, so it is possible to use it in other projects.
Cryptography on Arduino platform
Cvrček, Tadeáš ; Malina, Lukáš (referee) ; Dzurenda, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of possibilities of using Arduino platform for cryptographic systems, while implementing anonymous credential schemes on this platform. The content includes the results of searches of available libraries for modular arithmetic and operations on elliptic curves and their performance tests. Following the results, suitable libraries were selected and a practical implementation of modern anonymous credential schemes was performed.
Access Control System Using Multi-factor Authentication
Cvrček, Tadeáš ; Dzurenda, Petr
A secure user authentication process is a key prerequisite for ensuring the security of the entire electronic system. On the other hand, current systems usually deploy many constrained devices with limited computational power, memory space and cryptographic support. This makes it hard to deploy secure cryptographic mechanisms in this environment. In this article, we present our multifactor authentication system using a reader with a secure module represented with MultOS smart card and an Android smart phone acting as a user authentication device. The system supports NFC (Near Field Communication) communication interface for intermediating communication between smart phone and reader, supports additional authentication factors (e.g. PIN code or fingerprint) and is easily implementable even on very constrained devices such as smart cards.

Elliptic Curve Cryptography For Constrained Devices In Internet Of Things And Industry 40
Cvrček, Tadeáš
The article summarizes the usability of devices (which are usually equipped with AVR and ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers) with low-power consumption in security solutions for IoT and Industrial 4.0 ecosystems. These devices have limited processing and storage capabilities and they often run on batteries. On the other hand, cryptographic algorithms are usually computationally demanding and, therefore, it is hard to implement them on constrained devices. This work studies the capabilities of current IoT devices to perform elliptic curve cryptographic protocols and the possibilities to design and implement own cryptographic protocols on constrained devices.
