Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with Diagnosis of Left-Sided Above-Knee Amputation

Title: A Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient with Diagnosis of Left-Sided Above-Knee Amputation. Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the theoretical knowledge and rehabilitation care of a patient with this diagnosis, as well as a case study of a patient with this diagnosis. Method: This study is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains the lower limb functional anatomy, theoretical information about lower limb ischemic disease, about amputations, rehabilitation options after amputation and options of prosthesis. It also includes an evaluation of the effects of therapeutic procedures. The practical part contains a case study of a patient after left-sided above-knee amputation. This part includes the entrance examination, the course of therapy, the final examination and the evaluation of the effect of therapy. Results: The therapy described in the practical part of this study was able to verticalize the pacient and manage to walk with prosthesis on a french crutches.
