The thesis analyses financial and non-monetary effects of cultural actions and suggests options of further development of cultural activities. The thesis finds out, that the man-made tradition of the town, as the town of fairytales brings Jičín and big local business entity mainly non -- monetary benefits in the form of higher social and ethical prestige. However, small businesses, especially those located where cultural events take place, benefit financially in a form of more customers and higher revenues.
