Single lever control system of piston engine with propeller
Gröger, Roman ; Cäsar, Tomáš (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the description of the work of aircraft piston power plants and single-lever control systems. The first part describes the characteristics of piston engines and their indicators. The second part describes the work of piston engines with variable-pitch propeller. The third and fourth part deals with single-lever control systems of piston power plant, their comparison and possible problems of their control.
Brake system of small airplane with tail gear
Kubičár, Dávid ; Cäsar, Tomáš (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to design a braking system for ultralight aircraft. The introductory part of this work is focused on a research study of brake systems and their possible control, in terms of advantages and disadvantages for a given type of aircraft, as well as in terms of ergonomically appropriate arrangement of controls pedals. The theoretical part also includes the analysis of the load pressure during the landing of the aircraft and the distribution of hydraulic fluids used in the brake system. In the second, practical part, the work focuses on a new design of the brake pedal, as well as on the calculation of the aircraft load during landing and the determination of the maximum braking force at which there is no risk of the aircraft tipping over.
Alternative ways to take off and land for fixed-wing aircrafts
Cäsar, Tomáš ; Matějů, Jiří (referee) ; Zikmund, Pavel (advisor)
Target of this thesis was to propose and evaluate workability in matter of basic physical principles for shortening lengths of take-off and landing distances especially for small, single-seated aircrafts. These variants were proposed in order to be used at building roofs for transport of employees to work and back. Every variant is presented with loads, which would affect aircraft and pilot and also estimated runway length for comparison with classic landing. Calculations were made for two versions of aircrafts, one for present, achievable with current technologies and second futuristic, which takes into account expected development in aviation.
Design and analysis of the properties of the hydraulic servo control of a small and speedy aircraft
Cäsar, Tomáš ; Bencalík, Karol (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
Target of this thesis was to design servo-mechanism suitable for control system of small and speedy aircraft, such as business jets and light multi-purpose attack aircraft. Main task was to use suggested characteristics for computer analysis and determine impact of their changes on servo-mechanism properties. Further on, experimental way of determining these parameters.

Diagnostic parameters determination of aircraft hydraulic system
Třetina, Karel ; Cäsar, Tomáš
The article presents methodology for application of information theory for selection of hydraulic system diagnostic parameters. Changes in technical state of the system are accompanied by a set of symptoms. Method of determining information value of each symptom by information theory is presented. A set of technical conditions and set of symptoms for a simple hydraulic system are determined. Matrix of technical state describing relations between technical conditions and symptoms is constructed. The four symptoms are determined by matrix analysis with use of information theory. These symptoms are chosen as diagnostic parameters and provide the most information about technical state of the hydraulic system.
