Design of Home Computer Network
Kykal, Václav ; Buchtela, David (advisor) ; Pavlíčková, Petra (referee)
This thesis describes the design of a home computer network. The first part deals with the study of local computer networks and their history. This part concerns network types and topologies and the reference models OSI and TCP/IP. Types of active and passive network hardware components are mentioned, as well as networking software and individual network standards for network communication. Furthermore, the thesis also discusses some possibilities of effective security of computer network. The second part deals with creating the design of home computer network. The network must meet the client s requirements. The description of space, for which is the network created, forms a part of design. There is also the list of required hardware for network implementation and hardware that will be connected to the network. As the main part of this work, the schema of the cable placement and the placement of other active network components is designed. The work also describes appropriate security of this home computer network using setting of the routers and the network storage connection.
Design and Implementation of System for Borrowing Assets in Company
Fišer, Jakub ; Buchtela, David (advisor) ; Vynikarová, Dana (referee)
The aim is to design an application for registration of company property borrowings to own employees, which was previously dealt with paper spreadsheets. It will be recorded who borrowed what from whom and for how long. The focus will be for maximum versatility to be able to borrow any property, eg. various scanners, vehicles, computers, contracts, records, etc. It is only necessary that the borrowed items have a unique identifier. Application will not work with the prices for the borrowings and is therefore not primarily intended for commercial rental. The theoretical part presents and evaluates options and compares the technologies for intranet applications running on own server (like On-premises software). The practical part describes how to install your own Web server based on LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), including the basic configuration and custom application's structure, database model, coding in PHP, HTML and CSS.
Construction of GLIF Model and Knowledge Ontologies
Buchtela, David
Knowledge acquired in different branches is possible to represent in a branch guidelines form. GLIF model is mostly used for text guidelines formalization. Knowledge ontologies are comprehended as an explicit specification of system of terms and patterns which model a specific part of the world. The aim of this article is to outline possibilities of knowledge ontologies usage in a stage of GLIF model construction from branch guidelines.
