Fisheries in the Czech Republic in the context of EU structural policy with emphasis on use of financial instruments from the FIFG Structural Fund

Diploma thesis "Fisheries in the Czech Republic in the context of EU structural policy with emphasis on use of financial instruments from the FIFG Structural Fund" deals with the fisheries sector from the point of view of both the European Union and the Czech Republic. It is focused on the period 2004-2006 when allocations from the Financial Instrument for Fisheries Guidance were available for the Czech fishery. The thesis is divided into five parts. First of them is concentrated on the importance of fisheries in the European Union. Next part is focused on the sphere of the Common Fisheries Policy. After it, a description of the situation in the Czech fishery and a brief description of the Funds which can be used for financial support for the Czech fishery follows. These are EAGGF, FIFG and EFF Funds and the Special Accession Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (SAPARD). Other part is dedicated to the analysis of financing Czech fishery after accession to the European Union through the FIFG Structural Fund. Additionally, the thesis reports Czech fisheries funding during the current programming period 2007-2013. The results are supplemented with annotative tables and graphs.
