The diploma thesis is dedicated on the issue of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) in the elderly. The main target of the thesis was to determine probability of the return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) and analyze the influence of variables on resuscitation results. The research included 834 respondents who used Emergency Medical Service of the Central Bohemian Region between 2019 and 2020. Statistical data analysis was carried out using logistic regression. The probability of ROSC after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest was determined on 21% the chance of survival is decreasing with age. Among the variables that affected the outcome of CPR included for example the presence of gasping and shockable heart rhythm. Key words: cardiopulmonary resuscitation, out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, elderly

Maršíková, Dana ; Rambousková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Brizgalová, Nikola (referee)
The diploma thesis is focused on efficiency of adaptation proces of nurses at intensive care. The point of this work was to find out the most problematical areas of adaptation process, analyze if it fulfills its purpose in the time given. These points gave us the main target, which was to find out if there are any areas of adaptation proces that could be made more efficiently. To be able to get deep into the topic, the research was made by the form of qualitative research through semi-structured interview. Nurses, who completed or are completing adaptation proces were interviewed on the topic given, and we also examined the topic from the sight of the mentoring nurses. The research was realised on Clinics of anestesiology and resuscitation at FNKV and kardiosurgery resuscitatic department of FN Pilsen. The analysis of the results showed that there are several areas of the adaptation proces that could be made more efficiently. For example, it could be more time providedfor a sufficient initial training of nurses, elaboration of educative materials including specifics of the given department or periodical consultations between the newcomming nurse and her mentor. Based on the results obtained, the recommendations for the practice were made, that could be helpfull to increase the efficiency ot the...
