Opportunities for integrating Arpida centre children into leisure and recreation activities organized by the city od České Budějovice

The diploma thesis is focused on leisure activities of children with multiple (physical and mental) disabilities, particularly children from the center ARPIDA. It deals with the possibility of integration of these children in free time activities in České Budějovice. The theoretical part is focused on the ARPIDA center, its clients and services it provides. It also describes the possibility of leisure activities for disabled children and offers specific actions in terms of type and degree of disablement. It provides an analysis of organizations which offer leisure activities for the intact children and organizations providing leisure activities for disabled children in České Budějovice. The practical part caries out a survey for parents of children from the ARPIDA center what kind of leisure activities their children attend and how much the parents are interested in involving their handicapped children in leisure activities within the center ARPIDA as well as involving them in free time activities for intact children. The results of this research could lead to a higher interest among parents of children from the ARPIDA center in the integration of their children in leisure activities for healthy children as it is obvious that these organizations are willing to cooperate.
