The Use of Multimedia Applications for the Development of Language Training Linguistic Devices in the Teaching of German as a Foreing Language

The thesis deals with the implementation of modern technologies and multimedia applications in the teaching of German as a foreign language. The first part of the thesis focuses on defining the theoretical background. Important concepts are introduced to better orientation in the problems of the thesis. Furthermore, the role of technology in society and also in teaching is described. At the same time, this section presents the theoretical findings on the use of modern technologies during the Covid-19 pandemic and a comparison of the frequency of their use before and after the pandemic, that is, at the present time. Finally, the advantages and pitfalls of using modern technologies in teaching are described. A list of multimedia applications that can be used in the teaching of German is also provided. In the next part of the thesis, which is based on quantitative research, we analyse the results of a questionnaire survey conducted with pupils and teachers of upper primary and lower secondary schools. The results show that pupils and teachers are generally positive about the use of modern technologies in teaching. Some teachers use technology less because they believe that students are distracted and unfocused. Conversely, pupils see modern technology as a means of motivating them to perform better...
