The Process of Adoption of Western Medical Science in the End of Edo Period

This thesis deals with the development of Western medicine in Japan, especially in the second half of the Tokugawa period. The first part briefly outlines the situation at the beginning of the Tokugawa period, especially how Western medicine got into Japan and how was received. The following passage more focuses on medicine and its place in the Japanese ideology. Emphasis is placed on intellectual and economic transformation in the 18th century and the clash of Western medicine with Neo-Confucianism. Some space is dedicated to significant medical names, Japanese and European. The whole work is finished with fairly extensive passage about vaccination, which was extremely important for the successful adoption of Western medicine in the early Meiji period. Seikanron as Internal Conceptional Dispute Within the Meiji Government

This thesis focuses primarily on Japan-Korea relations mainly devoted to the period between 1868 and 1876. For a better understanding of the problem, a space is left for brief outline of the development of relations between Japan and Korea from the Ashikaga-Muromachi period (1336-1573) to the Edo period (1603-1868). Emphasis is put on the development of negotiations between Japan and Korea as well as the domestic situation in both countries, but primarily in Japan. Analysis of insurance products for small and medium - sized enterprises

Work to the theme "Analysis of insurance products for small and medium sized enterprises" tries to find the optimal variant of insurance of enterprise for the given company. These variants, also the given insurance companies, are compared by using of monocriteria and multicriteria evaluation of variants. It is possible to apprise basic concept in the first part, relating to insurance industry, insurance, enterprise, small and medium sized enterprises, mono and multicriteria evaluation of variants. There is a given company defined in the practical part, what are these variants evaluate for. There are also requests defined, that a company holder determines with a help of insurance broker, and then insurance offers are in this part defined. I used a method of monocriteria evaluation that supposes pessimistic approach for evaluation of variants. The aim of this evaluation was to determine which combination of insurances would be for the businessman and his company the optimal variant. Variants were evaluated with the help of multicriteria evaluation later, specifically Saaty´ method of weight determination and AHP method for order determination. Criteria, which were evaluated, are for example insurance premium over the discount that was offered through individual insurance companies, requirements for the security of buildings that provide insurance companies, etc. Four variants were evaluated. Today´s businessmen often solve problem, how they should protect themselves and their business against risks that can threaten. At this moment it is important to realize not only what type of risks threaten the business, but also the extent of its. When a businessman decides to one insurance option, it´s necessary to navigate himself through the offers of insurance companies and even get advice from an insurance broker. He can also for example decide based on personal experience with the insurance company. It´s definitely important to analyse the offers from different insurers.

Choice of optimal insurance variants for a chosen client

Work to the theme "Choice of optimal insurance variants for a chosen client" tries to find the best variant of using a method of multicriteria decision of legal and emergency insurance of cars for the given client. It is possible to apprize basic concept in the first part, relating to insurance stuff, insurance, emergency insurance, then basic concept of multicriteria evaluation of variants. There is a specific client defined in the practical part, with insurance offers having been elaborated for him. These 6 offers from different insurers is then described in detail. It is also possible to see an overview of insurance companies offering emergency insurance of cars in Czech republic. I would like to mention even the evaluation of variants. There were used 6 variants (insurers) and 11criteria, including limits for different insurance filling, as their prices. First I studied methods of weight determination (order method, Fuller´s method, point method, Saaty´ method, method of gradual schedule of weights) and then I continued with the methods for order determination (order method, point method WSA, alkaline variant method, AHP, TOPSIS) - these provided me order of individual insurers. I wrote final result based on these methods. More and more people own a car that is why we meet a problem of car insurance, at least concerning liability insurance (it is to the contrary with emergency insurance obligatory). If you come to a specific insurance company, you will be tried to be persuaded by company employee for exactly his product which doesn´t have to be convenient for you. The best result is to use multicriteria decision to create "your own opinion" and to be able to choose by yourself the most convenient possibility.
