The Influence of Timely Initiation of CPR on the Prognosist of Cardiac Arrests due to Cardiac Causes
Beňová, Eliška ; Knor, Jiří (advisor) ; Peřan, David (referee)
The thesis deals with the influence of timely initiation of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation in cases of cardiac arrest due to cardiac causes. In the research part of the thesis, I mainly gave my attention to the factors connected with time and quick initiation of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation, so I created contingency tables from the input data where I was interested in the success rate of the non-hospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation given by a bystander compared to the cases where it is not performed. From the total of 1315 cases, I selected 872 individuals where the cardiac arrest had cardiac causes. The observed period of 2019-2020 shown that in the cases where a layman initiates the resuscitation before the arrival of a professional team the return of spontaneous circulation occurs at 24.78% cases. Meanwhile when the cardiopulmonary resuscitation is not given, the restoration of circulation occurs in 25.11% of individuals. This points out that the result of cardiopulmonary resuscitation does not depend on whether the massage was given by a layman or not. I also dealt with the influence of the time of arrival of the professional team at the place of the event. I found out that the most common travel time in the Central Bohemian Region is 5.01-10 minutes and that the time of arrival...

Beňová, Eliška ; Zvoníčková, Marie (advisor) ; Bakusová, Tereza (referee)
The topic of this paper is the cooperation of nurses and nursing assistants in the traumatology department. The goal is to find out the role performed by the nursing assistants in providing patient care, and highlighting their position in the nursing team. In this paper, I also focus on the fact that despite the differences in education and function, these two groups must function and cooperate as one unit. The first part of the paper is theoretic and focuses on the method of research used here: autoethnography. This method observes cooperation within the team and with management and assesses the role of cooperation within the whole team. It also focuses on the most common diagnoses in the traumatology department. The second, practical part of the paper addresses the goals and methods of the research. The method of data collection is also introduced in this part. The department where the research took place is described here, as well as the composition of the patients and the employees. The third part describes the research itself. The course of five days at the department is covered in this part. For each day, the structure of employees and patients is listed, as well as the patients' diagnoses. Key situations of cooperation and communication between the nurse and nursing assistant and a summary...
