Aviation is entering a new era. Unmanned systems are increasingly more involved in the commercial sector of civil aviation and they are creating new challenges. This bachelor’s thesis deals with unmanned aircraft and their maintenance. The first chapter of the thesis describes goals, important terms and abbreviations. The second chapter focuses on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), summarizing their history, categorization and rules. The third chapter briefly explains the maintenance of aircraft and the last chapter presents the maintenance procedures applied to unmanned systems in commercial operation.
Proposal of flight testing programme of AirCar airplane

This research thesis is designed to introduce the reader to flying cars, flight performance theory and flight characteristics, and certification flight tests. The first chapter of this thesis deals with the introduction of the AirCar flying car. The second chapter focuses on an analysis of the certification specifications of CS-23 Amdt 6 with AMC2 by CS-23 Amdt 4. The third chapter introduces the flight tests, followed by the theoretical part in the fourth and fifth chapters dedicated to flight performance and flight characteristics. The last chapter is devoted to the design of the flight test programme.
