Lords of Hradec and Slavata´s of Chlum and Košumberk in the middle of the 16th century

This diploma thesis deals with two aristocratic families in the middle of the 16th century. The thesis focuses on their connections and relationships between the two most important family representatives - Jáchym from Hradec and Diviš Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk. The first chapter describes the current research on the early modern nobility and their daily life. The second chapter deals with the lords of Hradec with emphasis on Jáchym. The next chapter deals with Slavats of Chlum and Košumberk and Diviš Slavata. The last chapter constitutes the core of given thesis. It describes the formal characters of Diviš's correspondence to his brother-in-law Jáchym and analyses the topics of his letters. Part of the diploma thesis is the edition of this correspondence.
Letovice 1613
BLÁHOVÁ, Gabriela
This bachelor thesis deals with events which occurred in Moravian town Letovice in 1613. The thesis focuses on publication of a few documents, which were supposed to legalize Lutheran reformation in Letovice. Documents relating to the transfer of the right of collature were published by Lutheran suzerain. The first chapter focuses on the history of Letovice to the beginning of the 17th century. A religious situation in the Moravian region and the gradual spread of the Lutheran reformation are depicted in the next part of this paper. The third chapter is focusing on counts of Thurn and Valsassin, who owned the domain of Letovice in 1613. The last chapter constitutes the core of the given thesis. It analyses the document, the inventory of the church, the register of vicarial pensions, the Litterateurian order and the Manorial Authorities' decree from 1561. All texts were written in the newly founded memorial book.
