Title: The objectivization of evaluation of the dynamics of self-defense instruments Introduction: Strikes by the upper limb are key tools for the self-defense system. So far, mechanical properties have not been evaluated for a wider group of strikes without protective equipment with applications in training, injury risk assessment, forensic biomechanics and medical law. Objectives: The aim of this work is to compile and objectify the evaluation of the dynamics of a wider group of strikes by the upper limb by specifying the size of the contact area and describing the damping properties of the foam of the detection apparatus. The aim is to evaluate the impact force, the probability of exceeding the bone tissue fracture threshold, the impulse, the size of the impact surfaces and the pressure for three impact techniques, both sexes and two experience levels. Methods: The work consists of three projects. Two quasi-experiments were completed by 169 probands, men and women, experience levels beginner, advanced (n = 169, height 177.8±9.0; weight 81.6±17.8; age 27.3±8.1) within one period. The Thesis deals with construction of log furniture made of logs in diameter no more than 10 centimetres which are connected to a round joint and a mortise. This furniture is much popular and required not only for its growing approval rating of the log cabins in this country. The work contains drawing documentation of two chairs and two tables inclusive of a technical description, bill of materials, costing, and their practical production which is given evidence of taking photographs. Afterwards, the copious photographic work section is completed by information about practicable producing procedures, instruments and machines. There are summarized information from several branches and experience of most Czech makers of this furniture as a whole which is unique for his content.

The main aim of this bachelor's thesis is the material use of branches with the diameter up to 7cm. The aim was to create a list of products, which are already being manufactured or could possibly be manufactured from this sort of material. Information about the tree species which can be used, about prices and also about the processes of manufacturing for selected types of products is included. The market research was carried out mainly via the internet, partially at the village fairs and markets, eventually by the consultations with experts in the field. The best products in terms of utilization, evaluation and practical processing of the material, are the furniture, pencils made of twigs, and partially also the wooden toys.
