YMCA in the Czech Republic - Dialogue between the Principles of Voluntarism and Professionality.

The thesis focuses on the theme of voluntary service and proffesionality in the organization YMCA in the Czech Republic. This organization is nowadays quite unique, because its activities are still in many cases based on the work of volunteers. There are many local YMCAs, which are based just on volunteers, but at the same time there are more and more local YMCAs, which has one or more employees. The fundamental question of this thesis is therefore: What are the differences between the work provided by volunteers and the work provided by employees? The theoretical part is dedicated to investigation of theoretical knowledge from this field just as the aims and strategies of human resource management, the processes of human resource management, or human resource management of voluntary organizations. The empirical part is dedicated to the qualitative research in two local YMCAs - one representing an organization based on the work of employess, other representing a voluntary organization. The research focuses on the ways of human resource management in these organizations - in particular the processes of human resource management. The aim is to find common elements and differences in all these parts of the work with personnel, to set up a main theme of the whole research and to formulate several conclutions...
