Time evolution of the metrological characteristics of the ultrasonic point velocity meter
Khainová, Renata ; Zubík, Pavel (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the study of the time evolution of the metrological characteristics of the ultrasonic point velocity meter FlowTracker2. The experimental work consisted in regular measurement cycles during a defined time interval. The obtained values from the measurements were recorded in the created forms and subsequently evaluated. The results were presented in the form of graphs and tables, which allow to follow the time evolution of the metrological characteristics. The work focuses on the monitoring of stability at low speed values and on the metrological characteristics and analysis of long-term stability of measurements at selected speeds. The results of the work should contribute to a deeper understanding of the influence of temporal factors on the metrological characteristics of ultrasonic point velocity meters.
Design of laboratory hydraulic circuit
Kuchyňa, Robin ; Zubík, Pavel (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the mechanical-technological design of a hydraulic circuit designed to supply a laboratory flume with water. The processing is carried out in two fully functional versions. The first version uses the free space on two floors of the building for the purpose of the circuit construction, while the second version is designed exclusively on the level of one floor. In both versions, the corresponding technical solutions and equipment are designed, including pumps, distribution pipes, valves and other equipment. In each version, the positions of the individual circuit elements and their connection to the laboratory flume are specified. The work is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the representatives of the Faculty of Environment of the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague.
Triangular-notch thin-plate weir located at the end of the pipe
Bečička, Filip ; Žoužela, Michal (referee) ; Zachoval, Zbyněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis dealt with the determination of the discharge coefficient of a thin-plate weir with a triangular notch located at the end of a circular pipe with zero bottom slope. Measurements were used for its determination. Measurements were taken for five different angles of the triangular notch and for two pipe diameters. The discharge coefficient was calculated in two ways based on Bernoulli's equation. The discharge coefficient was plotted graphically against the different quantities to determine their suitability for generalisation. A graphical representation has also been made for the ratio expressing the relative filling of the pipe. Based on the graphical representations and the complexity of the calculation, a recommendation for the calculation was given.
Time evolution of metrological characteristics of a meter using the ultrasonic echo correlation principle
Orság, Pavel ; Žoužela, Michal (referee) ; Zubík, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the time evolution of the metrological characteristics of a meter using the ultrasonic echo correlation principle. The measurements were carried out at regular intervals on a special test track in the laboratory of the Water Management Institute of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Brno University of Technology. Subsequently, an analysis of the experimentally obtained data for the period under study was carried out to assess the inter-annual precision and variability of the measured velocities.
The use of electromagnetic current meter in the discharge measurement by the velocity integration method
Jechová, Adéla ; Zubík, Pavel (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This experimental bachelor thesis is focused on the use of electromagnetic current meter in the discharge measurement by the velocity integration method. The velocity integration method is based on the smooth displacement of the current velocity meter in the entire measurement profile. The method is described in detail in the theoretical part of the thesis, which deals with the velocity area method and its measurements. Furthermore, uncertainty of measurement that can be encountered during measurement are listed here. The results measured in the water laboratory are evaluated in the following chapters. At the end of the thesis, the conditions that are suitable to meet when determining the mean profile speed by an electromagnetic current meter using the velocity integration method are recommended.
Evaluation of the method using portable measuring system with flow-meter
Štarhová, Marie ; Šafář,, Robert (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the assessment of flow measurement method using portable measuring set with the flowmeter used in the field of official measurement in the free surface profiles. This method is a controlled simulation of the required flow through a portable measurement set. This approach is innovative in relation to other methods of official measurement in which direct flow measurement is carried out. The thesis is based on extensive literary research related to elementary element of this assembly – flowmeter. On the basis of individual characteristics, the technical and metrological requirements for both the flowmeter and the other elements of the measuring set are processed. In the context of these findings and the requirements of the official measurement, input sources of measurement uncertainties are further defined and subsequently calculated by this assembly. The findings from this thesis are fully applicable to the practice of institution authorized for the official measurement of the subject method.
Directional characteristics of hot-wire single-senzor
Kozák, Jan ; Žoužela, Michal (referee) ; Zubík, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with directional responses during measurement with single-sensor miniature wire probes. Author´s effort is to make a large-scale calibration measurement with different angles of inflow to the probe and compare results with common application of single-sensor miniature wire probe.
Use of integration methods for discharge measurement in non-uniform flow in confusor of the flume
Zeiner, Pavel ; Zubík, Pavel (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with the measurement of flow rate in flume type PARS P3. First, there is a search for a convenient profile in confusor for research and consequently to construct graphical dependence from which to read the value of the correction coefficient for many flow rates in flume.
Assessment effects substandard tributaries flowing a proportion on Q/h characteristics thin-plate weir with a rectangular cutout
Šmidrkalová, Nina ; Šafář, Robert (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with the problem of measuring flow, especially using the method of Q/H characteristics. It describes the thin-plate weir and mentions specific channels. The master´s thesis suggests options of monitoring flow capacity in fixed proffiles with free surface. The master´s thesis also includes an experiment, which is focused on simulation of substandard tributary flowing proportions before weirs for determining their effect on Q/H characteristcs. The experiment is carried out on a thin-plate weir with a rectangular notch at the Department of Water Structures at the Faculty of Civil Engeneering in Brno. Another part of the master´s thesis is data processing to get an idea about the impact of the phenomenon in real applications. Finally, options are recommended for follow-up research.
The influence inclination of supply pipe to the Q/H characteristic of measuring flume PARS P3
Naiser, Dominik ; Žoužela, Michal (referee) ; Zubík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the inlet pipe on the Q / H characteristic of the measuring flume PARS P3. Measurements of Q / H characteristics were performed under different inclination of the inlet pipe and the measuring flume. Subsequently, these measurements were processed and the corrections and uncertainties of the measurements were determined from the results.
