Štuksová, Radka ; Malcová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Věra, Skopová (referee)
This thesis tackles the topic of the influence folk culture has on shaping the identity of a child. The theoretical part describes the legislative framework of traditional folk culture in the Czech Republic as well as on the international level. Furthermore, this part deals with the standing traditional folk culture has in the documents issued by the ministry of education. The correct interpretation of educational curricula and the adherence to the documents issued by the ministry of culture impact the mediation of cultural information to children. With the help of interviews with children, the NIPOS survey (The role selected arts activities had in the shaping of identities of primary school children) and own experience, this bachelor thesis aims to find out the nature of the influence of traditional folk culture on the education and personal development of children. In addition, the thesis seeks to present suitable suggestions on how to better and more efficiently mediate folk culture to children not only in the state-owned educational institutions but also in the family settings.
