Prague – Olomouc. Settlement potential and the establishment of the bishopric

After comparing the bishops’ seats in Prague and Olomouc, we have concluded that despite seeming very different at first glance, both are archaeologically quite similar. Both are structured hills close to a river with suitable space for agriculture and with evidence of manufacturing sites. In their overall structure, there is a clear elevated settlement with a cult site, in both cases linked to a necropolis. In Prague, settlement and manufacturing activities centre on the western part of the Hradčany promontory, in Olomouc on the Petrské and Václavské hills.

The monument procedure in a structured form records data obtained through research from the area of interest of the NAKI II project "Landscape memory of the Moravian and Silesian Sudetes in danger" (DG20P02OVV008). The monument procedure is categorized on the basis of the analysis of negative impacts in the care of movable and immovable archaeological heritage in the landscape of the Czech Republic, which are disturbed by logging.

Marketing survey of public opinion on the use of countryside in the Olomouc Region

This thesis deals with a marketing thesis in Olomouc Region. The goal is to find out on a representative sample public view on land use. The questionnaire has many questions from a field like: green areas, sustainable energy, forestry, hunting, fishing or protected areas and national parks. Each field has couple of questions on opinion of the respondent. The theoretical part contains basic information on every field mentioned in the questionnaire. It also includes current information on Olomouc Region and the situation with these fields on it land. The practical part shows all the valid respondents which took part in the questionnaire. The results which were obtained thanks to them are presented in a number of figures and tables which show the current trend among them. It is followed by various correlations and ends with a comparison of other works done on diverse regions.

Archaeology of the open spaces in medieval towns

The topic of this diploma dissertation is the problem of the origins and the evolution of the public spaces. These topics are important part of the archaeology. The specialists involved draw upon archaeological research, written historical sources and modern-day maps and plans. This diploma dissertation outlines also the importance and the evolution of the public spaces on several examples in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Prokrastinace jako stalý problém mezi studenty: analýza situace v Jihomoravském regionu

This bachelor thesis deals with a problem of chronic procrastination which makes people, especially students, to postpone given tasks. This behavior leads to stress, decrease of self-esteem and in poor results. This work focuses on academic procrastination among students in South Moravian region. The theoretical part shows different views from different researchers on procrastination, what types of procrastinations and what kind of procrastinators are there, what are the causes and how to deal with it. There is also a demography of South Moravian region and all the academic data that could be found for this region. The research part of this bachelor thesis measures what is the level of procrastination among students. For the measurement, Lay's (1986) questions were used and the results were compared to one another. The comparison of results from this work to results from another research has been done and analyzed.
