How Educators of a Selected Elementary School Perceive Their Work in Respect to Their Former Ideals?
ŠINDELÁŘOVÁ, Lenka
The diploma thesis deals with the question of how different pedagogical staff (teachers, school club educators, and teaching assistants) of a selected primary school perceive and experience their work in contrast with the ideas they had about the pedagogical profession. The core of the thesis is qualitative research (interviews with eleven respondents). The introduction presents the researcher's personal view of the subject before carrying out the research. The methodology and the course of the research are described in more detail in the second chapter. Next, the research findings are presented. The following topics were identified in the respondents' narrative: the feeling of lack of preparedness, (non)sharing of materials and aids, attitudes towards parents, colleagues and pupils.
50 Years of Zentrale Stelle and Criminal Prosecution of Nazi Crimes in Federal Republic of Germany
Šindelářová, Lenka ; Zimmermann, Volker (advisor) ; Kunštát, Miroslav (referee)
The thesis "50 Years of Zentrale Stelle and Criminal Prosecution of Nazi Crimes in Federal Republic of Germany" describes an institution formed in 1958 in Ludwigsburg. The purpose ofthis institution is to conduct comprehensive research on Nazi crimes, committed especially in Eastern Europe, as well as the subsequent preparation and coordination of criminal prosecution. Since 1958, almost all court trials of Nazi criminals have been closely linked to this organization and are backed by investigations and research of its members. During its 50 years of existence, the Zentrale Stelle has managed to assemble a unique archive of documents and authentic materials, thus contributing significantly to the historical research on Nazi criminals and their crimes. The submitted work describes first the organization itself, its activities and the issues it faces. Further on, it presents an overview of the Zentrale Stelle's results in respect to the overall persecution of Nazi criminals by (West) German courts. Significant attention is also devoted to the present situation in Ludwigsburg and the local collection. An office of Bundesarchiv and a research office of Stuttgart University were established in the Zentrale Stelle to elaborate the documents and materials ofthe archive.

How trees resists the stress of city environment
ŠINDELÁŘOVÁ, Lenka
The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out the seasonal changes of the air pollution tolerance index (APTI) in London planetree (Platanus acerifolia) and small-leaved lime tree (Tilia cordata), which grow in Jiráskovonábřeží in České Budějovice near the busy urban roads. The research was conducted in August, 2015. The complete results of this research were summarized into a teaching presentation for pupils at primary schools, which shall show them the issues of urban stress for these two tree species, which are very often planted in cities. The APTI index consists of four parameters, which were needed to be found out for the APTI index could be established. These parameters for the APTI are: the content of chlorophylls in a leaf, the content of the ascorbic acid in a leaf, the relative water content in a leaf and the pH of the extract from a leaf. By the discovering ofthe values of these parameters, the APTI was counted and thanks to this APTI it was easier to determine, which of these two tree species is less or more stressed by air pollution on the particular location. Further, the fluorescence of chlorophyll, which is -next to the APTI index- another indicator of effect of stress on the physiological processes in a plant and measured fluorescence values were compared with values from the previous measuring in 2013. The results were statistically evaluated and processed into the tables and graphs. According to the results of the APTI index, the small-leaved lime tree has proved as more sensitive to air pollution in Jiráskovo nábřeží, the London planetree was more resilient from this point of view. By the comparison of the results of chlorophyll content and fluorescence from 2013 and 2015, it was found out that the year 2015 has proved as less favourable for both species.
Comparison of seasonal changes of ecophysiological characteristic of two selected trees under stress of the urban environment
ŠINDELÁŘOVÁ, Lenka
This thesis deals with the study of impact of stress to the two types of broadleaved trees in urban environment during the growing season. The studied species were Small-leaved Lime (Tilia cordata) and London Planetree (Platanus acerifolia). Trees are the important part of the urban environment both from an aesthetic standpoint and from the standpoint of the reduction of negative effects of the urban environment. However, these trees are under the constant influence of stress factors with which they have to deal (air pollution, water, temperature). Some trees deal with stress better but some worse. Because of this fact, two different types of trees were selected, which are able to deal with stress by their own way. As indicators of physiological state of plants under stress, the content of photosynthetic pigments and photochemical efficiency of PS II (QY and QY') were monitored at individual trees. The measurements were carried out always two days consecutively from May to September 2013 in Jiráskovo nábřeží in České Budějovice. Every month, the spectrophotometric measurement to determine the pigments in a leaf was carried out. For the spectrophotometric measurements, twenty-four leaves were measured in total; for the fluorescent measurement, thirty leaves were measured in total. The obtained values of both methods were processed and evaluated by graphs, which together with the average values show the statistic demonstrability of difference between the measured trees in city. According to these measured values, Small-leaved Lime seemed to be more vital at a given location, although London Planetree is marked in the literature as more resistant one towards the urban stress.
Is the Social Work with Roma People Minority unrewarding?
ŠINDELÁŘOVÁ, Lenka
Social work with Roma people minority is specific, big demands regarding various differences of their target group are placed on employees. Nevertheless social work with Gypsy minority is important not only for the clients themselves but due to its impacts and results it affects everybody. In spite of that employees sometimes face misunderstanding, astonishment and surprise of public, in some cases even condemnation of their work. Some important themes regarding social work with clients of the target Roma people minority are summarised in the theoretical part of the thesis. Besides definition of some terms there are described factors and problems of Roma people being the most frequent clients of social services. In particular the reasons are unemployment, debts, impossibility to find convenient living, bad health condition and especially total social exclusion of this group of people. Here are also described models, approaches and types of social work related to the Roma people minority clients the most. The target of the thesis was to analyse subjective feelings and moods of employees, to obtain information about specific positive and negative reactions regarding their work not only on part of their clients but wide public and especially to find out how they perceive these exposures. Further it was mapping of their possible other problems but also reflexion of what they like the most at their work and on the contrary some factor making their work unpleasant. The research was carried out using several methodology procedures of qualitative strategy ? questioning method, semi-structured interview technique but also participant observation. It resulted from the obtained knowledge that the addressed employees face both positive and negative reactions on part of the clients as well as wide public. From the summary of respondents? answers it resulted that the importance of their work is in their opinion marginalised and their job is not appreciated as it should be in their opinion.
