Quality Management in the Field of Gastronomy

This diploma thesis is focused on evaluating quality of services in field of gastronomy in specific organisations in Brno city. Within this work there is analysis of present condition in organisations and in field of gastronomy also. For evaluating quality of services, based on this analysis, SERVQUAL method is chosen. After application of this method both recommendations and proposed specific systems of quality management for organisations are expressed.
Development of the Company Through Franchising

This thesis deals with the development of IMJS s.r.o. company using franchising. The content of the thesis is the definition of theoretical basics dealing with the franchising type of business and individual analysis. After that the analysis of the current state of the company and the strategic analysis and the internal and external environment of the company are compiled. Then on in the practical part the pilot franchising concept of the company is created based on the analysis.

Processed values of financial indexes are used for evaluation of company´s financial health. Measures leading to improvement of economic state of company will be suggested in the last part of the thesis.

-1- Shareholder derivative suit Abstract This thesis concerns itself with the topic of derivative suits and shareholder derivative suits in particular. In the ever-changing landscape of corporate governance, derivative suits serve as a tool for the minority shareholder to enforce claims, which arise following a breach of duty by the directors in the case that the company itself is paralyzed by the directors' unwillingness to litigate. The core of the issue at hand lies in striking the balance between enhancing shareholder and company rights and allowing the directors to perform their duties without too much impediment and thus stifling the prosperity of the corporation. In such cases, the very goal which all business companies intend to pursue, the generation of profit, may be jeopardized. The hypothesis of this thesis seeks to answer the question, whether the Czech regime of shareholder derivative suits is suitably positioned to match the relevant provisions, contained in some of the countries with the most advanced corporate governance systems. To confirm or deny this hypothesis, the first section of this thesis puts forth a general summarization of the derivative suit in its basic form. Šimara, J. Key factors in the performance of enterprises in the meat industry. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2014. This thesis deals with the identification of key performance factors of enterprises in the meat industry and the subsequent draft recommendations for improvement to the condition. To meet the main goals of this work the comparison of two businesses and the industry was selected. The work is divided into two parts. The first part is a literature review that provides the theoretical background of the chosen topic. The second part is own work, where using of financial analysis, model EVA entity, sensitivity and correlation analysis identifies and analyzes key performance factors of selected enterprises and the results are compared with the industry. This part ends with a discussion of relevant draft recommendation to increase a performance and competitiveness of the analyzed enterprises.
