Generace Z a její motivace k práci v oblasti marketingových agentur
Šišmová, Anna
Šišmová, A. Generation Z and its motivation to work in marketing agencies. Ba-chelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2023. The bachelor thesis deals with research on the expectations of Generation Z students of economic faculties from the labour market with an emphasis on working in a marketing agency. The research is carried out by means of an indicative analysis of Generation Z, then verified by means of a questionnaire survey and then supplemented by real offers from 4 unnamed marketing agencies. The results of the individual researches were compared to create a simple manual with recommendations for making Generation Z recruitment more effective. Based on the research, it was found that Generation Z prefers non-financial benefits over financial ones. Generation Z expects an adequate starting salary of at least CZK 30,000. Furthermore, Generation Z prefers career growth, holiday beyond the law, flexible working hours and other non-monetary benefits over pay increases. For Generation Z, good teamwork is more important then financial rewards. On the other hand, familiarity of the company and clients is not so important to Generation Z. Generation Z prefers to work in smaller marketing agencies because of the more family workteam and faster career growth.
Evaluation of the speech act's felicity and infelicity
Šišmová, Anna ; Jančík, Jiří (advisor) ; Suková Vychopňová, Kateřina (referee)
This master thesis, entitled Evaluating the Felicity and Infelicity of Speech Acts, focuses on the analysis of illocutionary speech acts based on the linguistic works of authors John Langshaw Austin and John Rogers Searle. Both of these authors introduced five types of illocutionary speech acts, and each of them also constructed the felicity conditions by which a speech act achieves its intention. If this happens, the speech act can be described as felicitous. Furthermore, the thesis deals with situations in which irony, sarcasm or humour is used in communication. Since these are not situations on which the above-mentioned authors focus their attention, we have tried to propose a reformulation of the felicity conditions using John Rogers Searle's model. The aim of this paper is both the analysis of specific types of speech acts and the analysis of acts containing irony and other mentioned phenomena. KEYWORDS speech acts, felicity and infelicity of speech acts, truth conditions, pragmatics, John Langshaw Austin, John Rogers Searle
Toward a syntactic theory of < verb-adverbial particle > constructions in contemporary French
Šišmová, Anna ; Jančík, Jiří (advisor) ; Müllerová, Eva (referee)
This thesis entitled Toward a syntactic theory of verb-adverbial particle constructions in contemporary French focuses on the analytical description of these constructions. Syntactically and semantically, they straddle the boundary between periphrasis, syntagma and collocations. From a syntactic point of view, their structure consists of two components, a verb and an adverbial particle. This type of construction is also close to the constructions existing in English and German. It concerns phrasal verbs and verbs used with separable prefixes. For this reason, their structure was also compared with the constructions in French. After presenting a theoretical explanation, the constructions were subjected to a series of morpho-syntactic and semantic tests. On the basis of these tests, it was possible to compile their definition, and thus determine their place in French grammar. The aim of this thesis was to determine the morpho- syntactic status of the above-mentioned constructions in French, and to compare them with similar constructions which occur in English and German. KEYWORDS Constructions < verb-adverbial particle >, syntagm, collocation, periphrasis, non-valent datives
