Efficiency of a Company with Foreign Equity Participation

The main aim of this work is first to define terms related to business or specifics of companies with foreign equity participation, to find out the advantages and disadvantages of this business and then to evaluate the effectiveness of the selected company with foreign equity participation. At the beginning, this thesis describes and clarifies basic concepts regarding of business, function and division of enterprises, the specifics of the company with foreign capital and inflow of investments into the Czech Republic. This work explores the measurement of business efficiency and financial analysis. Then the work is focused on evaluation of economic efficiency of Reinhold Keller production s.r.o. This company is first characterized and then selected methods are used for this company and financial analysis is performed. Financial analysis is carried out using absolute indicators, from which ratio indicators such as profitability, indebtedness and others are created. Furthermore, the calculations are compared with the calculations of the Czech company Vladimír Rendl - truhlářství s.r.o. Based on the calculations the conclusion presents an evaluation of the company's business activities in the last four years.

Geopolymers: The influence of alkaline activator cations on efflorescence

This paper describes the effect of the type of cations in the alkaline activator on geopolymer properties and especially on the formation of efflorescence. The susceptibility to the formation of efflorescence is discussed according to the standard ČSN 72 1565-13. Cations in alkaline activators influence the mineralogical type of efflorescence: Li+ and Na+ cations form carbonates (Li2CO3 and Na2CO3, respectively), whereas K+ cations form sulphate (K2SO4). The mechanical properties, workability and pore structure of the geopolymer composites have been determined. Alkaline activators with sodium and potassium ions reach higher mechanical strength than those containing lithium cations. For lithium alkaline activators, there was a noticeable difference in the properties between the SiO2/Li2O ratios 1.8 and 2.6. Based on the properties of the mentioned geopolymer composites with various alkaline cations, it is possible to use lithium alkaline activators in geopolymer technology.

Effect of smoking on lactation and breast feeding Abstract The bachelor 's thesis deals with the topic of mothers' smoking during breast feeding period and its effect on lactation, breast feeding and infant health. The thesis is both theoretical and practical. The aim of the theoretical part is to summarize knowledges concerning breast feeding and its benefits, smoking and its harmfulness, to connect these two topics and point at risks coming out when mother smokes during breast feeding period. Marginally it touches the topic of smoking during pregnancy. The practical part deals with mothers smokers' awareness about possible effects of smoking on breast feeding and infant's health and investigates if smoking mothers who participated on the qualitative research see some effects of smoking on breast feeding and their child. It also researches their emotions after smoking a cigarette in pregnancy and after delivery, and compares these two key periods. It determines how long smoking mothers breast feed and if they put in context too early cession of breast feeding with smoking. The main acquired fact is that mothers smokers perceive bigger risks of smoking on their child in pregnancy than in breast feeding period. The women gained the information usualy at their gynecologist but they haven't been informed about...
