Hydromorphological monitoring and partial restoration of Leskava stream

This work is focused on hydroecological monitoring of a selected watercourse in connection with the requirements of the Water Framework Directive. The methodology of type-specific evaluation of hydromorphological indicators of ecological quality approved by the Ministry of the Environment has been used. The result of this work is the implementation of the mapping of a particular watercourse and the subsequent possibility of improving its hydromorphological condition with revitalization measures.

Revitalisation of the water regime of the Leskava river basin with integration into the territorial system of ecological stability

This work focuses on the improvement of the current state of the selected watercourse with the use of nature-friendly measures and subsequent integration into the Territorial Ecological Stability System. In the theoretical part, the author summarizes the methods of assessing the status of watercourses and furthermore deals with the issue of revitalization of water bodies, among others from the perspective of restoring water reserves in the landscape. Subsequently, a specific watercourse was selected, namely the Leskava stream flowing through the southern part of Brno. To evaluate the hydromorphological quality of the water body, the HEM 2014 methodology was chosen, and subsequently sites suitable for revitalisation interventions were identified, as well as for the addition of elements of the territorial system of ecological stability in the current Brno city plan. The output of the work is a detailed description of the proposed modifications including drawings and subsequent evaluation of the current state and the state after the modification.

Active employment policy in selected region

The thesis considers unemployment and a possibility of increasing employment in the Central Bohemian Region using the active employment policy. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to theoretical basis gained from professional literature and internet resources about labor market, types of unemployment depending on the cause of its origin, risky groups of unemployed people, social and economic consequences of unemployment and about an analysis of actions of the active employment policy. Furthermore, there is described the Central Bohemian Region and its strong and weak aspects. We can look at the evaluation of employment and unemployment made by a study, status reports of the labor market and processing of statistical indicators in Central Bohemian Region. We can also peek at regional individual projects realized on the territory of Central Bohemian Region in 2015. The last part of this thesis is focused on some possibilities of more effective use of actions of the active employment policy in the region.
