The monitoring of agent BZ after intramuscular administration
Čechová, Lenka ; Váňová, Nela (advisor) ; Bavlovič Piskáčková, Hana (referee)
The compound 3-quinuclidinyl benzylate (agent BZ) belongs to the group of incapacitating warfare agents with anticholinergic activity. Today, for its ability to induce functional cognitive impairment (i.e. coordination and memory disorders), the agent BZ is used mainly for scientific purposes in the study of Alzheimer's disease. Despite this fact, its pharmacokinetics has not been fully examined yet. In order to determine the agent BZ in biological material, LC-MS / MS method and sample preparation procedure for body fluids (plasma, bile) and tissues (brain, liver, kidneys) were developed, optimized and validated. The sample preparation procedure for body fluid employed solid phase extraction using a C18 column eluted with methanol and for body tissues it was precipitation with acetonitrile. The chromatographic separation was performed on Gemini NX-C18 reverse phase column (150 × 4.6 mm, 5 μm). The mobile phase consisted of a 10mM solution of ammonium acetate at pH 11 and methanol in a ratio of 30 : 70. Elution of the analytes was performed under isocratic elution. The total analysis time was 5 minutes. Mass spectrometric detection was performed by a linear ion trap using electrospray ionization. Sample preparation procedure and chromatographic analysis methods were successfully applied to real...

Project and problem teaching thematic area Diversity of Nature in the 1st Degree of Elementary School
ČECHOVÁ, Lenka
The aim of this thesis is to develop its own concept of learning material dedicated to teaching diversity of nature at first level of primary schools using principles of project teaching and teaching opportunities beyond elementary school. The proposed educational material is created in the form of a methodological manual that contains worksheets for proposed projects in the field of diversity of nature. That means a guidebook for teachers that is designed as an assistant for work with the proposed projects. There is also available an instructional text so that it corresponds with principles defined by the applicable educational documents. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on evaluation of the importance of this work in the context of FEP and SEP monitored schools. Other chapters are devoted to a functional analysis of textbooks and workbooks for the first level of basic evaluation that emphasises the importance of project teaching during teaching elementary science, natural science and geography.
Capital market models and tests of these models
Čechová, Lenka ; Musílek, Petr (advisor) ; Fičura, Milan (referee)
This thesis deals with the description and testing of the capital market models. It consists of an analysis of the most famous models such as the CAPM, the three-factor Fama-French model, the four-factor Fama-French-Carhart model and an alternative multi-factor model that includes the current relevant risk factors. In the first part, one can find the introduction to the capital market theory that is essential for the definition of model assumptions. The second part is dedicated to the description and construction of the models in reference to the relevant research papers. The last part of this thesis contains the regression model estimates, taking into account the data set of the fifteen most profitable IT companies. A portfolio of these firms is expected to exhibit a positive and statistically significant alpha. Daily portfolio returns in the period 1990 -- 2014 are regressed on risk factors of particular models. The aim of this thesis is to test whether the capital market models are valid for the long-term portfolio returns composed of the selected shares.

Analysis of the profitability of companies and their success in the procurement market in the chosen field
Čechová, Lenka ; Pavel, Jan (advisor) ; Špinerová, Zuzana (referee)
This thesis deals with an analysis of the profitability of ICT companies which are successful in the procurement market. The analysis examines if these companies are more profitable than the ICT firms that do not register any success in public tenders in the period of 2006-2010. Profitability is assessed by means of four profitability indicator ratios which are Return on Sales, Return on Costs, Return on Assets and Return on Equity. The content is divided into two main parts. Theoretical part is dedicated to characteristics of public procurement, introduction of the ICT sector and particularities of public procurement in the field of ICT. The second part is practically oriented. It consists of a data set specification for both categories of companies and an analysis based on statistical methods of correlation and regression. The result of this research is a comparison of firms' profitability and estimation of a regression model showing the impact of various factors on profitability indicator ratios.
