Precise repeated leveling measurements at Tetčice water reservoir
Čáp, Pavel ; Švábenský, Otakar (referee) ; Pospíšil, Lubomil (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the vertical movements of foundation soil in village Tetčice. In the first part describes geological structures and problems in locality. A next chapter deals with surveying vertical movements, measurements and evaluation. As addition is measurement actually groundwater level depending on the line levelling.
Irone ores from the Krušná hora (hill)
Nič, Martin ; Marek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Čáp, Pavel (referee)
Krušná Hora near Nový Jáchymov belongs in Barrandian area to one of the most important localities with the occurrence of Ordovician sedimentary iron ores. Rich reserves of iron ore and easy access to this area was known and used since many centuries ago. Use of deposits laid the foundation for the rich history of mining and metallurgy in Křivoklátsko. The work is divided into two thematic parts. The geological section is devoted to the construction of tectonic bearings, its stratigraphy, mineralogy, petrology, lithology and paleontological finds. Briefly describes the development of this sedimentation area. Self-described history of the geological survey. The history of the use of bearings is described in the second part, which is divided according to individual companies engaged in mining there. Particular attention is paid especially to companies conducting mining during the 20th century. Self-described termination of mining and mine disposal. Attention is paid to the technical equipment of the mine and the current state of the remains of the mining activities.

Sedimentologic and microfacies study of the Suchomasty Limestone at Zlatý kůň Hill near Koněprusy (Lower Devonian - Dalejan)
Polecha, Roman ; Vacek, František (advisor) ; Čáp, Pavel (referee)
This master thesis comprises results of sedimentologic, microfacies and physical stratigraphic research of the Suchomasty Limestone at Zlatý kůň Hill near Koněprusy (Prague Basin, Lower Devonian - Dalejan). Six instructive sections have been selected for detailed study. Physical stratigraphic records (MS and GRS) have been used for correlation of two lithologically different sections (Section I - to the East of the Herget Quarry and Section IV - near the entrance to the Koněprusy Caves). This comparison showed that both sections correspond to the same stratigraphic level, and thus can be included in one sedimentary system. This assumption is also supported by preliminary results of studies on stratigraphic distribution of conodonts. Stratigraphic variations in MS and GRS may also be used for reconstructions of sedimentary environment and its evolution (e.g., changes in sea level). However, all measured parameters show only low oscillations and reflect probably only local conditions. Five microfacies types corresponding to three facies belts have been identified in the studied sections. The lower part of the Suchomasty Lm. is dominated by fine-grained limestones (MF 1 - tentaculite wackestone/packstone) in the NW part of the area (Section IV - near the entrance to the Koněprusy Caves). They deposited in a...
