Modular system for electrical impedance tomography

This paper presents a novel approach to an electrical impedance tomograph’s system and hardware architecture design. It delves into the strategic decisions that shaped the hardware layer of a measurement system comprising multiple units and enabling intercommunication between them. The primary objective was to develop a cost-effective method for switching a current source among numerous electrodes and measuring voltage across each with a wide dynamic range while maintaining a minimal phase shift between the channel and input of an analog-to-digital converter. The measurement system is designed and documented, serving as a valuable reference for developing new additional units.

Training set generation system for reconstruction of electrical impedance tomography images

This paper introduces an innovative approach to simulating Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) through MATLAB, aimed at advancing the accuracy and reliability of internal imaging using electrodes. We address the critical challenge of reconstructing interior images with high fidelity by simulating inhomogeneous mediums. Our methodology involves the generation of synthetic datasets, encompassing various inhomogeneity scenarios, followed by applying forward solutions to ascertain voltage measurements indicative of interior conductivity variations. The research emphasizes the creation of an adaptive framework capable of simulating real-world scenarios within a controlled digital environment, thereby enhancing the predictive capabilities of EIT systems in diverse applications ranging from medical imaging to industrial inspection.

Image Reconstruction in Electrical Impedance Tomography through Multilayer Perceptron

This study introduces a novel image reconstruction algorithm designed to excel in challenging scenarios with noisy datasets. Comparative evaluations against established methods, the Total Variation technique and the Gauss-Newton algorithm, are conducted using key performance metrics including the correlation coefficient and structural similarity index. The Results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm displays variable performance in noise-free data compared to Total Variation but consistently outperforms it in the presence of noise. Furthermore, when contrasted with the Gauss-Newton algorithm, the proposed method consistently exhibits superior outcomes, particularly in scenarios involving noisy datasets, where the Gauss-Newton algorithm faces limitations. This study underscores the robustness of the proposed algorithm in noisy conditions, suggesting its potential for applications where accurate image reconstruction is critical.

Modernizace osazovacího automatu Tenryu

Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnotit stávající stav osazovacího automatu a navrhnout možné řešení modernizace stroje a realizovat vybrané části. Součástí práce je dokumentace původního stavu automatu Tenryu MT-5530LQ a jeho dokumentace po modernizaci. V úvodní části je popsána teorie osazovacích automatů, na tuto kapitolu navazuje popis funkce a konstrukce již zmíněného automatu. Ve třetí kapitole se nacházejí popsané a vytipované součásti stroje, které je nutno nahradit, či opravit. Ve čtvrté kapitole této práce se nachází kompletní návrh modernizace automatu včetně možných výsledků modernizace. Na tyto předchozí kapitoly navazují kapitoly číslo 5, 6 a 7, kde jsou popsané nové karty pro nový řídicí systém a práce je zakončena shrnutím dopadu modernizace na stroj včetně možností dalšího pokračování na modernizaci stroje.

Optimizing Image Reconstruction in Electrical Impedance Tomography

The thesis presents, analyzes, and discusses the optimization of algorithms that reconstruct images of unknown specific conductivity from data acquired via electrical impedance tomography. In this context, the author provides a brief mathematical description of the forward and inverse tasks solved by using diverse approaches, characterizes relevant measurement techniques and data acquisition procedures, and discusses available numerical tools. Procedurally, the initial working stages involved analyzing the methods for optimizing those parameters of the model that influence the reconstruction accuracy; demonstrating approaches to the parallel processing of the algorithms; and outlining a survey of available instruments to acquire the tomographic data. The obtained knowledge then yielded a process for optimizing the parameters of the mathematical model, thus allowing the model to be designed precisely, based on the measured data; such a precondition eventually reduced the uncertainty in reconstructing the specific conductivity distribution. When forming the numerical model, the author investigated the possibilities and overall impact of combining the open and closed domains with various regularization methods and mesh element scales, considering both the character of the conductivity reconstruction error and the computational intensity. A complementary task resolved within the broader scheme outlined above lay in parallelizing the reconstruction subalgorithms by using a multi-core graphics card. The results of the thesis are directly reflected in a reduced reconstruction uncertainty (through an optimization of the initial conductivity value, placement of the electrodes, and shape deformation of the domains) and accelerated computation via parallelized algorithms. The actual research benefited from an in-house designed automated tomography unit.

Využití filtračních metod v NMR měřeních

Diplomová práce se zabývá vlnkovou transformací a jejím využitím při zpracování a odstraňování šumu ze snímků pořízených nukleární magnetickou rezonancí. Definuje základní pojmy v této problematice jako jsou mateřská vlnka či prahování. Především však popisuje princip vlnkové transformace, prahovací techniky a kritéria hodnocení účinnosti filtrace. Je zde popsána spojitost mezi vlnkovou transformací a bankami číslicových filtrů. V experimentální části je popsána navržená filtrační metoda odstranění šumu ze snímku pořízeného technikou nukleární magnetické rezonance. Byly aplikovány různé druhy mateřských vlnek. Vyhodnocení účinnosti filtrace bylo provedeno pomocí poměru signálu k šumu, relativního kontrastu a strmosti změny intenzity signálu. Dále se věnuje porovnání vlastností obrazu a výběru mateřské vlnky na základě vlastností obrazu. Obrazy byly porovnány z hlediska jejich histogramu, kumulativního histogramu, k-prostoru a diference obrazu.

Hodnocení finanční situace podniku a návrhy na její zlepšení

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na hodnocení finanční situace firmy Baťa, a.s. v období let 2005 – 2008. Vychází z účetních výkazů firmy ve sledovaném období. V první části je vysvětlena teorie důležitá pro znalost finanční analýzy, dále jsou uvedeny informace o samotné firmě a jejím okolí formou zobrazených základních údajů o firmě, provedené SWOT analýzy, Porterova modelu a 4P marketingového mixu. V ústřední části je provedena finanční analýza firmy a v závěrečné, nejdůležitější části jsou vytvořeny návrhy na zlepšení finanční situace na základě získaných údajů.

Zpracování RTG snímků při výzkumu čelistních onemocnění

Předmětem této diplomové práce je návrh metody pro automatizované vyhodnocení parametrů rentgenových obrazů cystických onemocnění lidských čelistí. Hlavním problémem při lékařské diagnostice je nízká opakovatelnost způsobená subjektivním ohodnocením snímků bez použití nástroje pro zpracování obrazu. V diplomové práci jsou popsány základní kroky zpracování obrazu, jednotlivé metody segmentace obrazu a zvolená metoda segmentace live-wire. Databáze obrazů byla zpracována v Java prostředí ImageJ. V cystických oblastech byly vyhodnoceny jejich základní statistické a tvarové vlastnosti. Získané hodnoty byly použity pro učení klasifikačního modelu (rozhodovací strom) v prostředí RapidMiner. Tento model byl využit pro vytvoření zásuvného modulu pro automatickou klasifikaci typu cysty v programu ImageJ.
