Dynamic Risk Management in Municipalities

Dynamic risk management is not a much-resolved issue at municipal level, although the consequences of these risks can be very serious for the municipality. The Municipality mainly focuses on situations that are called extraordinary events and the hazards of common activities, mainly associated with the running of the village, are usually neglected. The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the current state of this issue, which deals with approaches for dynamic risk management, municipalities, methods suitable for risk analysis and the possibility of using software tools in this area. Based on an analysis of the current situation, a general model for dynamic risk management at municipal level is created. The output of the thesis is the above-mentioned general model and its verification in a particular municipality. Additionally, the financial difficulty associated with the implementation of this model is presented.
Application of Risk Analysis Methods for Assessing the Impact of the Business Entity to the Environment

The author of the diploma thesis deals with the application of methods and risk analysis to assess the environmental impact of the business entity. Firstly, this thesis incudes theoretical background information about case study, which is also support for applying methods and analyzing the necessary areas. The goal of this work is to find solutions and propose preventative measures to be used by enterprise in order to reduce environmental impact.
Systems approach to determining the environmental damage during the transport of hazardous chemical substances

Current status of the environmental damage amount determination is mainly focused on the long-term consequences of negative factors, such as transport and industry emissions. Significant damages however, could be caused as a result of short-term effects, such as events with leakage of the hazardous chemicals. These situations are caused by accidents during the hazardous substances transportation, when the material is leaked as a result of faults on the vehicle or during a traffic accident. Damages that are subsequently being dealt with, in most cases reflect only the costs associated with the liquidation and remediation of the affected area. However it is important to note that since the inception of the damage until the return of the environment to its original state, if at all possible, there are many changes increasing other related costs associated with their solving. An example is the inability to use the functions that the damaged area provided. The aim of the thesis was therefore thoroughly analyze the current state of determining the amount of damage to the environment, to analyze appropriate methods for the unification process in the framework of expert activities and propose a systematic approach to improve the determination. The proposed procedure was subsequently implemented in a software tool that should be available for the needs of experts.
Risk of hydraulic structures from the point of view of the so called “black swans”

The thesis is focused on the issue of black swans in the water structure. More detail risks and hazard dam. History has shown us that sophisticatedly structure as dam is not perfect. Failure can cause weather, natural disaster, bad chance or deliberate attack. A detailed analysis of the current situation, I mapped historic dam failure, which can cause black swan. In thesis is a reseach on knowledge of the population in this issue. Based on the analysis and obteined information was proposed measures to improve the situation.
Basic Issues of the Expertising from the Risck Management

This master´s thesis deals with the identification of risks which affect the operations of experts activities in the Czech Republic. To obtain the necessary information there will be used a questionnaire in which the forensic experts in the field of Economy will be addressed.In the first part of the thesis there are described theoretical recourses which contains the explanation of basic concepts which are connected with identified risks. The second part of the thesis deals with the professional insurance of experts. By the SWOT analysis will be processed each expert knowledge on the topic of “The Basic issues of the expertising from the risk management.“ Finally will be evaluated the current state of expert activities in the Czech Republic and will be suggested possible measures.

In the practical part is an analysis of the certain company. The result of the analysis is to evaluate the state of the company and choose the right strategies to achieve goals.
Risk management of operation in transportation and haulage company

An issue of operational risk management is in modern times an important topic to resolve. Modern fast time, which brings a number of changes may affect the occurrence of risks that may have impact on operating activities of a company. This fact, however, does not depend on the company characteristics like: size, business sector and other factors. Risks are ubiquitous in a business because a business is a very risky activity. Every company should therefore have a risk management system or a procedure to deal with them. This thesis focuses on an analysis of issues of an operational risk management, the current situation in the transport sector and the risks arising from specifics of the transportation sector. Further analysis of risk in specific transport-forwarding company is based on previously conducted analysis. The output of this work is to propose countermeasures to prevent the effects of identified risks or to propose a general procedure for the operational risk management of companies operating in the transport sector.
Risk Analysis and Evaluation in a Transporting and Haulage Firm

This diploma thesis deals with an analysis and evaluation of risk in the freight transport company – Doprava Vícha s. r. o. The thesis describes the current situation in a freight transport industry, an applicable legislation, and risk analysis methods FMEA and WHAT-IF. Further the thesis analyses risks of a freight transportation and describes the company Doprava Vícha s. r. o. in detail. The thesis proposes a set of actions in order to minimize identified risks. The handbook with most important actions and advices for drivers is attached.
