Drama in education and literary story in a nursery school - in the works of Zdeněk Svěrák

This thesis deals with the possibilities of application of Zdenek Sverak's work in a kindergarten drama education. The theoretical section summarizes the information about the life and works of Zdenek Sverak and the findings regarding the possibility of using a literary narrative in a kindergarten, while applying the methods of drama education. There follows a description of the developmental patterns of preschool children and their significance for the drama education. The practical part of the thesis uses the books of Zdenek Sverak to process and reflect upon thematic units, in which the drama education methods were used. At the conclusion of the thesis, there is an evaluation of the research observations, obtained during my implementation of the thematic units.

The Abstract My dissertation is dedicated to a characteristic of pupils of primary school age from the point of developmental psychology and mutual relation of this age group and the reading in its teoretical part. The importan part of dissertation are the chapters which are aimed to well- marked personality of our literature Mrs. Iva Procházková. There is an analysis of Prochazkova's creation in my dissertation too. There is a more detailed characteristic of three chosen tituls - Pět minut před večeří, Středa nám chutná, Únos domů in teoretical part. And this part looks into mutual relation between dramatic education and literature. The target of my research is to prove the suitability of chosen chapters for the work in dramatic education. There are analysis of these literature patterns from education's view in the practical part. These titules are made as the projects of teaching lessons.
Journey to Change and Victory : The project has been developed based on the material for the 3rd grade of elementary school with the aim of using the method and technique of dramatic education to achieve personality development.

Use of drama in children's folklore group

This thesis deals with use of drama in a children folklore group. The main aim is using of drama in education of children and creation of production. Another aim is to find out what advantages drama brings to children folklore group. The thesis also deals with a structure of a heterogeneous group of children (children of different ages) and with a role of a preschool child in such group. In the theoretical part there are mentioned basic terms such as folk culture, folklore, children folklore and folklorism. Methods and aims of drama are also introduced. It deals with the connection between drama and children folklore group. In the experimental part there is described a project which studies possibilities when using drama in a preparation of production in particular children folklore group. Possibilities of using drama for production preparation were shown. The outcomes of the project enable us to say, that drama is useful during creation of production and even in production itself. It brings nature to children manners in production. Different ages of children have been beneficial - younger children were taught by the older ones. How to use drama elements in music education with preschool children

This Bachelor thesis focuses on the effective acquisition of musical and content features of a song in pre-school children. This thesis aims to prove that it is possible to reach easier acquisition of a song and primarily the natural comprehension of its meaning by the use of selected methods of drama education, in connection with vocal and music education. In the introduction chapters, the thesis deals with brief characteristics of a pre-school child and the personal and professional prerequisites of a teacher in relation to managing drama and music education in pre-school children. The chapter is focused on musical abilities of children, and further on the meaning of vocal education and least but not last, on the methods of drama education used in the practical part of this thesis. The last chapter deals with the methodology of the structure of a drama lesson, focused on the acquisition of a song in a kindergarten. The practical part contains the examples of use of drama education for the purpose of the acquisition of a song applied in practice. ln the practical part of the bachelor thesis I deal with the opinions of parents of preschool children on Drama in Education. Using mediated research in different type s of nursery schools I try to determine wh ether the ignorance of aesthetic education persists among fathers and mothers today. We also pay attention to the placement of Drama in Education among other free time activities and taking the research data into consideration we discuss the parents' awareness of the educational contents of playgroups. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis deals mainly with Drama in Education. It focuses on the historical development and current status in the Czech Republic. In addition, it discusses the benefits, methods, techniques, objectives and tasks of Drama in Education - aU in relation to pre-school educational institutions. FinaUy, the thesis takes notice of Drama in Education as free time activity of 3-6 year old children.
Role Playing within the English Lessons at the Primary School

The aim of this diploma work is to show possibilities of a role play in teaching english, using different methods of drama in education, which leads pupils to deeper understanding and starting the work and its influence of pupil's experience and pupil's taking part in solving problems with the situation and remembering cognitive and emotional benefits of a role play afterwards to motivate pupils for next learning. This diploma work describes aims and methods of nowdays ways of teaching foreign languages, explains new trends in teaching young learners (primary school). It describes their psychological development in age 6 to 11 and try to explain how it has an influence in teaching languages at primary schools. It causes the main differences between teaching adults and young learners. Teaching languages through methods of drama in education brings different approach to teaching. It develops teaching in two levels - in cognitive knowledge and in emotional experiences.
Working with a theatre mask in children´s educational process of kid´s theatre groups

This study deals the working with a theatre mask in children´s educational process of kid´s theatre groups. The main goal is to precisely describe sense and usability of a mask, it´s specifics and principles of using in teaching process. This study also analizes practical work with a theatre mask in real situations, especially using of a larval, an expresive and a neutral mask. Characters of each kind can be naturally found there. There are also specific paints of platiny with mask and special cattegory of natural learning. The study contains a methodical guide-lines and practical exercises.
