Computer games addiction among pupils at second grade of selected primary schools

The theoretical part of this thesis describes addictive behavior on the Internet and on- line games, the profile of the target group of students in primary schools in connection with a range of personality traits in terms of posing a risk of substance use. The purpose of the research thesis is the implementation of a questionnaire study on the prevalence of addictive behavior in using the Internet to play on-line games and identify links between this behavior and the various activities carried out on the Internet, sociodemographic characteristics, experience with substance use and risk factors for anxiety, hopelessness, search experiences and impulsivity. The basic set consists of all students 6 to 9 years of school districts in Kolin and Kutna Hora. The aim is to get around the 50 respondents showing signs of addictive behavior or threat of execution dependency behavior of the correlation study, the research file contains more than 600 pupils.
EVALUATION OF SELF-HELP APPLICATION FOCUSED ON MANAGING ADDICTIVE BEHAVIOR ON INTERNET BY THE SATISFACTION OF CLIENTS

This thesis deals with addictive behavior on the Internet and provides a theoretical overview of this issue, including descriptions of the types of addictive behavior, diagnostic criteria, diagnostic tools and the therapeutic intervention. In focus is the topic of online psychotherapy and self-help programs related to addictive behavior. Furthermore is presented the online self- help intervention program for people who have problem with addictive behavior on the Internet and description of this program. The second part is devoted to the evaluation of client satisfaction with self-help program. The aim of the research was to obtain views and feedback from clients of the program, which would further serve to enhance the program to the needs of clients. The evaluation was made by anonymous questionnaire, clients were asked to complete a questionnaire via e-mail. The research group consists of clients of self-help program, the method of choice was a simple type of purposive sampling, where the selection criterion was the registration in the self-help program. Questionnaires were prepared in electronic form and data analysis carried out by creating of clusters. Thesis deals with the dependence on the internet and computer games for pupils. classes at primary schoolin Zlín and Ústí nad Labem the region. Contents and order of business is to determine the prevalence of addiction to internet and computer games between the pupils of the 9. drove primary school, comparison of selected regions in terms of prevalence, a description of the context of the dependent behavior of the socio- demographic and social characteristics of respondents and regions. The theme of this thesis is Computer games and Internet addiction among second grade pupils of elementary schools: a comparison of urban and rural populations. Its documents are the scientific literature and studies on the subject and the results of research conducted in the period from March to May 2012. The aim of this thesis is to find a prevalence of addictive behavior on the Internet and PC games among second grade pupils of elementary schools, to compare the prevalence of urban and rural population and to identify factors associated with this dependency behavior. Theoretical part is divided into six chapters. There are briefly described addictive and impulsive disorders, and further described dependency theories on the Internet / PC games, diagnostic criteria and symptoms by which this dependence may be identified, for comparison with my results there are the results of prevalence studies of defects observed in comparable populations. Annotation: This thesis deals with dependency behaviour and internet addiction among youth between the age of 11 to 15. It is very comnon to use internet as source of information as much as source of fun among this popullation. But the modern problem with internet abuse is definitely recent uprise of numerous social networks. They became an essential part of common teenager's life where everyone can be anyone. The communication has no rules, it is easier and smiley faces are better to express emotions than do it in person. All these things are tempting for young people and make them to sign up to these networks and share thein private lives with almost the whole world. of bachelor thesis Keywords: methadone- susbstitution therapy- client- substitution programme-causes The bachelor thesis deals with the effect of client participation in the complete substitution treatment programme with methadone, which aims to demonstrate a positive effect not only on the client itself, but also on its vicinity. The theoretical part deals with methadone, its effects and the progressive placing into the treatment of addicted clients, firstly abroad and then in the Czech Republic. It deals with forms of treatment working in the Czech Republic with a detailed description of a complex substitution therapy. At the end of the theoretical part are discussed the causes of origin of an addiction on the addictive substances. The practical part is a case study of two clients - married couple, what describes in detail their life before the treatment, during the treatment and at her one year after the treatment, when she has been included in the substitution programme for ten years and is ending with a voluntary departure from the program with the zero dose of methadone - the client successfully abstains. Petra Holcnerová Assessment of the Accessibility of Non-Online Clinics for Tobacco Smokers in the Czech Republic In the Czech Republic, there is a network of medical centers for the treatment of tobacco addiction. This network is supplemented by cooperating clinics for smokers. This thesis surveys the availability of these clinics for regular smokers, excluding intentionally the online help centers. The basic objective of the thesis is to survey the availability of such clinics in the individual regions of the Czech Republic and to test whether these clinics (listed in an online register) are actually active in providing services to potential clients. The data used for this research were obtained via mystery shopping method using a set of strictly defined rules. Based on the research output and its analysis, the thesis presents a thorough assessment of the clinics' services to clients, e.g. whether they cater to clients coming from the particular region or whether they are open to any client regardless of his domicile. Alcohol acquisition among adolescents - a qualitative study among subculture of youth attending night clubs in the region of Central Bohemia

Background: The project is aimed at examining the situation in Říčany u Prahy which is located in the Central Bohemian region. This region has the highest occurrence of usage of alcohol amongst adolescents in the Czech republic. The problem is very topical and is connected with the local subculture of bars and clubs and furthermore the usage of alcohol is connected with other socio-pathological problems. The city leadership is enacting new regulations that aim to improve the complicated situation. Aim: The aim of the project is to identify the patterns of usage of alcohol amongst adolescents in the subculture of clubs and bars in the district of Prague-East (Central Bohemia), find the system of acquisition of alcohol and based on this information contribute to a successful resolution of the situation. Methods: Research was carried out based on qualitative methods - semistructured interviews, coding, categorization and triangulation. These methods were used in order to answer researched questions and find new information. Deliberate Self-harm as a Specific Form of Addictive Behavior: A Concept of Non-substance Addiction Verification

Záměrné sebepoškozování představuje nutkavé jednání, které se vyskytuje zejména v období dospívání. Právě v tomto období se zvyšuje riziko experimentování a riskování v oblasti chování. Dospívající jedinec je tak vystaven mnoha rizikům a nebezpečím, kterým musí čelit a bojovat s nimi. Není-li na tyto okolnosti jedinec předem dostatečně připraven, může jim velmi snadno podlehnout. Sebepoškozování se pak pro dospívajícího často stává nástrojem na zvládání nebezpečných vlivů a nepříjemných pocitů. Přetrvávat může i několik let a sebepoškozování tak může v mnohých případech přerůst v jakousi formu "závislosti". Cílem práce je popsat fenomén záměrného sebepoškozování jako jednu ze specifických forem návykového chování, ověřit tak koncept nelátkové závislosti a poukázat na některé společné či podobné znaky se závislostmi látkovými.
