System of non-destructive control in steel foundries
Hemala, Robert ; Cupák, Petr (referee) ; Čech, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the control system of steel castings in the foundry industry with emphasis on non-destructive testing. Sees the entire review process from casting to expedition. The thesis contains the various courses of the basic controls and non-destructive testing methods used in foundry steel castings.
Comparison of environmental and technological properties of various methods of manufacture of foundry moulds and cores
Dlouhá, Monika ; Rusín, Karel (referee) ; Cupák, Petr (advisor)
The roots of foundry manufacture perhaps go back to 2000 BC. Since foundry production in its development has undergone four stages and each of them there was a qualitative jump. From 20 century, the chemicals used in foundry moulds and cores which is the cause producing harmful substances that have a negative impact on the environment. Major sources of harmful substances are just binders, hardeners and catalysts that are needed for bonding of moulding mixture. The third stage deals with the foundry physical processes that are not using today, even though they are most ecological. Nowadays the most used methods Cold-box, Warm-box and Hot-box.
Possibilities of using modern methods in manufacturing of prototype castings
Novák, Luboš ; Cupák, Petr (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
Rapid prototyping is a set of technologies applicable to the production and development of prototype castings. It is a means for accelerating and cheaper prototyping, or for the preparation of small series production of castings. The thesis is focused on some of these production processes and technologies.
Actual trends in manufacture of permanent patterns made of progressive materials
Štokman, Michal ; Cupák, Petr (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
Rapid Prototyping is an important part of modern foundry industry. The aim of this thesis is to create an overview of different methods for making permanent RP models and sand molds, as applied to rapid prototyping.
Water soluble foundry binder with heat hardening
Prokop, Tomáš ; Burianová, Klára (referee) ; Cupák, Petr (advisor)
Foundry production produces the biggest amount of dangerous waste, which has a negative impact on environment and working conditions in the foundry. The foundry engineers test new technologies of shaping mixtures with new binders to protect environment and working conditions. We can reduce the production of dangerous waste by using better technologies and less harmful materials, which are needed for modeling forms and cores. The large source of pollution are binders, hardeners and catalyzer needed for binding sand. This work is focused on new types of ecological binders, which are dissolvable in water and are formed by setting temperature. These binders are ecological variants of known inorganic and organic binders.
Mechanical and structural proterties of Al-alloy die-castings
Podzámsky, Ján ; Cupák, Petr (referee) ; Staňková, Markéta (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to write technical recherche about mechanical and structural properties of Al-alloys die-castings with practical part intent on porosity. Thesis contains basic information essential for understanding the problem as a whole and provides smooth transition to the main point of the problem as well as wider view on practices related to die-casting.
Cement mixtures and their utilization in castings production to improve working environment
Svobodová, Radka ; Cupák, Petr (referee) ; Burianová, Klára (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the production of cement, its subdivision and use in industy, its chemical, physical and technological properties. Here it is writen about its virtues and qualities, but also about drawbacks and deficiencies. For the cement mixtures is important their porosity and total recovery in cement mixtures. As a result of the environmental protection, it is written about recovery and recycling of cement and its subsequent use as well. This thesis also involves laboratory measurement of mechanical properties.
Binders on the base alumina cements and their properties
Morávková, Jitka ; Cupák, Petr (referee) ; Burianová, Klára (advisor)
The Bachelor Thesis describes chemical and mineralogical structure, as well as alumina cements manufacture and some of their physical and techno-logical properties. It takes accelerators or plasticizers induced changes by search method. An illustrative laboratory measurement of mixture with accel-erator and plasticizer is complementary to theoretical knowledge in fluidity, air permeability and strength of mixture with aluminium silicate cement binder.
Binders on the base foundry clays and their properties
Hejl, Matěj ; Cupák, Petr (referee) ; Rusín, Karel (advisor)
The content of bachelor´s thesis is the technical recherche describing clay mineral montmorillonite and qualities of the uniform bentonite´s mixture, which is used for manufacturing forming mixture in the foundry. In the following parts are described another areas of using bentonite, where it has irreplaceable position.
Choice of material with a view to reducing the weight of cars
Najvar, Petr ; Cupák, Petr (referee) ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of choice of a material to reduce the passenger vehicle weight. The thesis should have be a source of helpful information while selecting materials for automobile parts. Therefor positive consequences, which the lower weight of a vehicle brings, are analyzed first and critical part groups are identified. The thesis also introduces an integrated list of modern materials used in automotive industry and basic criteria of their choice.
