Design of delta pi 3D printer with tempered bed using CAE systems
Koudela, Ondřej ; Maxa, Jiří (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with 3D printing using non-commercial 3D RepRap type printers. This work briefly describes development trends of non-commercial RepRap printers, theory of FDM print with analysis and comparison of materials, which are used in printing and the issue of the finite volume method and theory of heat diffusion. The practical part based on simulations from SolidWorks Flow Simulation discussed two basic methods of heating hot bed, then the temperature profile of hot end and the heat flow in full assembly of the printer. Outcome of this work is design an optimized model and the physical assembly of 3D printer delta pi type.
Mechanical properties of materials for 3D printing
Janiš, Adam ; Maxa, Jiří (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the description of 3D printing technologies using the FDM method, which uses deposition of molten thermoplastics and their subsequent cooling and solidification layer by layer. This unique structure then shows a strong anisotropy of mechanical properties and, as a result, their testing and print settings are very important. Tensile testing of plastic materials, including indicators of mechanical properties, are described in this thesis according to ČSN EN ISO standard. The practical part presents the concept of a device capable of performing these tests. The block diagram indicates the functional elements and the connections among them. Tensile strength test is described together with results processing. Necessary product documentation is also included.
Analysis of the supersonic flow of gas in the differentially pumped chamber EREM
Matloch, Roman ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Maxa, Jiří (advisor)
This work describes briefly electron microscopy issue and physical model of fluid flow. Then presented diploma thesis will be describing analysis and evaluation of the impact of supersonic flow on the pressure and density in the path of the primary electron beam in the differential pumping chamber. For analysis, evaluation and examination of the issue will be used CAD and CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) programs. At the same time it will be developed a methodology of calculation applicable to supersonic flow in the low pressure system at ANSYS CFX.
Analysis of the fluid mixing in the circulation reactor
Mačák, Martin ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Maxa, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with an analysis of the fluid mixing in pilot plant loop reactor. Multiphase flow was simulated with calculation of velocity of flow and volume fraction of individual immiscible phases in hydrogenation reactor for aniline production. Parameters of flow were reviewed in individual parts of the device. Separate attention was paid to heat transfer through wall of the device with usage of external cooling. Designed model is applicable for optimalization and design of bubble loop reactors.
Analysis of pressure distribution in the variant detector with three aperture by CAE system
Tomášek, Martin ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Maxa, Jiří (advisor)
This master`s thesis analyzes the pressure distribution on the premises of scintillation detector secondary electron in the variant with three aperture. The aim of this study is analyzing the fluid flow depending on the application of the third aperture in the entrance of the detector, thus creating more self-pumped chamber, which is responsible for ensuring a better distribution of pressure in the premises of the detector. The result of the analysis would be determining how to change parameters within the detector. If it is found that application of the third aperture has a positive effect on water flow in the premises of the detector, this arrangement may be used for improvement of the detector. Master`s thesis is divided into several chapters. First describes the basic principles of electron microscopy, including sample preparation, conditions for the proper functioning of microscopes and sharing different types of electron microscopes. The next chapters describe briefly the physical descriptions of gases flow in low pressures and small apertures, the mathematical models and simulation software used in this analysis. The analysis is done in SolidWorks with the module called Cosmos FloSimulation. The conclusion summarizes the results of the analysis, including graphical representations of simulation.
Numerical model of Li-Ion battery temperature field by discharging
Novotný, Jakub ; Bílek, Michal (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This work is focused on lithium-ion batteries in general and their modeling capabilities in ANSYS Fluent. The various advantages and disadvantages of li-ion batteries are describes in my work. There are also described the various models and submodels offered by ANSYS Fluent. An essential part of the work is to model the real battery and compare the results between the real battery and the simulation itself. Finally, simulation of battery breakdown is performed.
Model of a lighthouse with photovoltaic power
Dvořák, Adam ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Jandová, Kristýna (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to aquire and present the knowledge about the principles of the photovoltaic effect and panels and then discuss a theoretical analysis about these two topics. Task of the second part in this project is to design a theoretical model of a lighthouse, using pieces of information about photovoltaics which were acquired from the first part. And in the end physicaly realize designed model. In order to reach the best possible level of effectivity over the whole year, correct planning of the orientation and angle of placement while taking into consideration the movement of the sun is required before positioning the photovoltac panels.
Calibration and evaluation of data from strain gauges
Dubina, Jozef ; Jaššo, Kamil (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes calibration and evalution of data measured from tensometric sensors. The labour describes tensometers in general, their functions, aplications and principle of operation. Loading data from tensometric sensors is next part of this labour, where are informations how to convert analog signal to digital signal output, which is ready for processing and shows real values. After the signal is converted to digital, it is needed to calibrate tensometers to reach high precission values of weight according to reference load. Bachelor's thesis describes choices of electronic and mechanical components used for developing of digital scale. Software developing for this electronic device is described in next part of this thesis.
Home micro-wind power plant
Šmol, Vojtěch ; Máca, Josef (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
The master´s thesis deals with the construction of micro wind power plants in domestic conditions. Firstly, theory about wind is discussed. In next part, the types of wind turbines and their parameters are listed. Furthermore, the design and production of a domestic micro wind turbine, the design of blades, hubs, brakes and speed sensors are addressed. Furthermore, the design and production of a synchronous generator with permanent magnets produced using 3D printing is carried out. Results from generator testing are shown. In the next part of the thesis, the issue of MPPT controllers is solved, the principle of operation, hardware and software and the results of testing are clarified. The last part deals with the testing of wind power plants in simulated conditions and in real operation.
Exposure equipment for PCBs
Fiala, Matouš ; Čech, Ondřej (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
The Master's thesis deals with the fabrication of printed circuit board exposure devices, including establishing a theoretical basis for understanding the PCB production process, using lithography over a liquid crystal panel to create a motif. The thesis includes the creation of a CAD model of the device, including a UV source and then thermal simulation of the cooling of the device. The fabrication of the device also involved the creation of a custom motherboard that integrates all of the electronic components. The main result of this work is an assembled functional device with a unique LCD layer arrangement that allows reliable exposure of dual-layer PCBs, which is supported by testing. The most comprehensive part of this thesis deals with the development of a complete software platform, consisting of an application running on the microcomputer of the exposure device and a multi-platform application through which the device is wirelessly controlled.
