Vojtíšková, Věra ; Marek, Jan (advisor) ; Veselý, Rudolf (referee)
The aim of the thesis Modern Women's Narrative Writing in Islamic Countries (Iran - Saudi Arabia) is to compare the situation of women writers on the Iranian and Saudi literary stages, to give an overview of the literary activities of the women fiction writers from both countries, to track down thematic motifs in the chosen writers' works, and to compare the authors' approaches to particular motifs. In order that the view of the situation in both societies is complete, the thesis includes also a brief historical/political development of both states in the time relevant for the modern literary output, that is the 19th and 20th centuries till today. The second chapter serves the same purpose as the first one, it describes and compares the women's situation in the Iranian and Saudi societies, and the local women's movements, for there has always been a link between women's literary activities and their emancipatory efforts.
Výběr a implementace open source nástroje pro řízení portfolia projektů
Marek, Jan ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Kučera, Jan (referee)
Methods and ways of implementation of changes and innovations in companies through project management are in today's society very well established. There exists methodologies, techniques and tools for the management of individual projects. However in a role of project manager, I very often faced the fact that companies are performing the project portfolio management in very intuitive way. This in itself leads to failed and prematurely terminated projects, initiation of the wrong projects or realisation of correct projects, but at the wrong time. Very often I have also recognized, that there is lack of awareness of fact, that there are also Open Source applications that can help with the organization's portfolio. This thesis deals with the definition of requirements, search and selection of proper OSS application and subsequent implementation. In the first part of this thesis I prepare a theoretical framework about PPM, and on that basis then identify and verify a set of requirements for selection of right OSS PPM application. The next section of thesis describes searching for suitable applications from a variety of sources, assessment against the requirements and the final selection. In the last part the implementation project is drafted, which aims to serve other colleagues in project management as one of the possible implementation paths. The outputs are then continuously confronted with experts in matter of projects and project management in the field of IT in order to maximize symbiosis between theory and real life experiences. Virtually every project management methodology defines the collection of already-proven techniques, best practices or lessons learned from the previous similar implementations. The main contribution of this thesis I see in fact that it contains not only the design of the project implementation, but also describes a logical path, what leads to the result. Therefore this thesis could be used as a base or discussed best practice, when a project of implementation of PPM application in place.
Everyday spatial mobility of population in ORP Žďár nad Sázavou: Analysis of selected processes and geographic conditionalities
MAREK, Jan
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to observe everyday spatial mobility of the population of municipality with extended powers Žďár nad Sázavou. Required data were obtained through a questionnaire for each household of chosen micro region. There were gathered information concerning characteristics of the selected households and their individual members along with record of ways involved for reference days (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday). Based on the results of the survey, an analysis of selected processes and their geographic conditionality was made. At the same time, the results were compared with domestic and foreign literature dealing with this issue. The research itself thus concerned the differences in the mobility of the groups divided according to age, economic activity and etc. These groups are characterized by different traffic behaviour in space. The results show gender differences, women are taking higher number of ways, but, on average, shorter distances than men. Most frequently people travel for work and school, these routes are particularly significant on weekdays, at the weekends, leisure activities and activities associated with the quest for services dominate. In terms of economic activity, the issue of differences in mobile behaviour of college students associated with not-every-day way to school, is highlighted. The thesis is also engaged in the intensity of operation spatiotemporal mobility during the day, with an emphasis on the differences between working days and weekends. Analytical part is supplemented with graphical reports and charts.
Yield formation and quality of spring naked and hulled barley
MAREK, Jan
On the grounds of the South Bohemian University was founded in 2015 oneyear experiment. In this experiment we compared three classical and one naked variety of spring barley. Each variety were planted in four replications. For each repetition was assessed the number of emerged plants, number of tillers, number of ears, yield, thousand grain weight, the proportion of leading grain, density andcontent of nitrogenous substances. The average yield of the hulled varieties exceeded 6 t/ha, while in the nudevariety was 4,68 t/ha. The nude variety also showed the lowest HTZ, highest densityand the highest content of nitrogenous substances.
