Czech Republic after entering the European Union – international comparison

This bachelor thesis focuses on the macroeconomic development of the Czech Republic after entering the European Union and on comparing chosen indicators with other European countries with special focus on the Visegrad Group. This paper is divided into two parts. The first part is aimed at the economic growth. The gross domestic product is analyzed here along with other alternative indicators like gross national income and real gross domestic income. The second part focuses on economic freedom. There are two organizations examining the latter. This part is aimed at the Economic Freedom of the World (EFW) index published by Fraser Institute.
Analysis of the Labor Market in the Trutnov Region

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of labour market in the district of Trutnov. It focuses all above on unemployment and vacancies. The theoretical chapter treats of the characteristics of labour market in the perspective of microeconomics and further from the perspective of activities of labour offices. Next chapter, the analytical part, is then focused on the analysis of the labour market in the district of Trutnov especially after year 2000. It focuses primarily on unemployment and its causes. It presents answers to the four hypotheses which are focused on unemployment of school leavers and teenagers, persons with reduced working capacity, as well as the number of foreigners employed in the district and also compares the different characteristics of the labour market in the district to the whole region and to the Czech Republic. The aim of this work is to sort out the data characterizing the labour market and give answers to the four hypotheses.
Analysis of the Czech labor market

How already results from the title, the aim of this paper is principally to analyse situation in the labour market of Czech republic. In theoretic part I deal about labour market based on the economic theory. Furthermore, I deal about problem of investment in human capital and discrimination at the labour market. Then in analytic part I deal about situation in Czech republic. I analyse wages, unemployment and development from 2002 to 2009. At the end, I compare labour market of the Czech republic and labour market of other states in European union.
Minimal wage in Czech Republic and in European Union

The aim of this paper is principally to detect origin and development of the institute of the minimal wage in the world and its spreading around Europe. In theoretic part I deal about basic functions of the minimal wage and about its influence on employment. Then in analytic part I deal about its development and spreading around the world, particular European minimal wages' systems and I analyse its amount in national and in European measure.
Economic globalization (with focus on economic growth in BRICs)

Main goal of this study is to objectively describe the ongoing economic globalization. First chapter describes main attributes and some of the factors which cause globalization. Study shows some of the latest statistics from World Bank. Big focus is devoted to some effects of globalization like decreasing poverty, raising inequality, emergence of worldwide capital markets, increased importance of multinational corporations, or how globalization positively affects economic growth. Study also describes uncertain future of globalization, which is caused by ongoing economic crisis. The focus of this study is put on the economic development in the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India and China). These four countries are described as examples of the mentioned effects of globalization.
The concept and implementation of the Code of Ethics for Linet s.r.o.

The thesis is practically oriented and leading to design and implementation of the Code of Ethics and ethical policy into the organization. In the theoretical section the concepts of human resource management and ethics are explained. The practical part consists of a survey about the ethic behavior in the organization and of the results of a survey. Based on the results there is a concept of Code of Ethics for the surveyed organization.
Economical crisis in the USA 2007-2009

This diploma work describes the financial and economical crisis that has emerged in the USA during the year 2007. In the work the preceding recessions and the flow of the current crisis are being analyzed. Attention is also given to a detailed study of the pre-crisis period in the USA economics and the identification of the root causes of the crisis and their interrelationship. The final part of the work is dedicated to the examination of the crisis consequences and the possible ways of its progress
Periods of Globalization and chosen issues

Globalization is a phenomenon that has been influencing human existence for a long time. However, processes of globalization as well as its periods have not been unified yet. This paper seeks to describe basic milestones of globalization as well as its historical reflexion. The description is put in the context of the World Bank's approach to economic history. Globalization is inherent to many problems. Nevertheless, many authors point out positive effects of globalization. It is substantial to be aware of what the benefits of globalization are and to know why to support it. It is also important to monitor its negative impacts showing us warnings for the future and indicating what we should avoid in the present. The goal of this paper is to point out the influence of globalization within nowadays information and from the economic point of view. Present financial crisis which effects the whole world is closely associated with globalization. Therefore, one section of the paper is dedicated to this topic.

It will indicate what is globalization, how it was developing and what are the positives and negatives. The thesis is also looking at the impact of globalization on the environment and the media.
Corporate social responsibility and the methods of its measurement

The first chapter of the thesis is examining the topicality of corporate social responsibility. It pursues the historical progress of the concept, defines the fields of action for CSR, lists the particular activities and analyses the motivation of companies for such behavior. The second chapter attempts to answer the question why should we measure CSR and how should we report sustainability according to GRI standards. It also describes the known methods of CSR measurement in relationship with corporate performance. The third chapter introduces the company Johnson & Johnson. It analyses and rates the most recent company report of sustainability form 2007. In the conclusion the author presents his opinion on the given problems of measurement and reporting CSR activities.
