Class A audio power amplifier with tubes
Krutílek, David ; Brančík, Lubomír (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
The topic of my bachelor´s theis is of the class A audio power amplifier using vacuum tubes which is completed with phono preamplifier and input selector. There are used ECC 83 and ECC 88 vacuum tubes for the pre-amplifier design, then EM 84 tubes for the „eye-magic“ equalizer and 300B tubes for the power amplifier design. The maximum output power is 2 x 20W to 8 ? load. In this paper there are presented schematics of the pre-amplifier and power amplifier too. The aim of this bachelor´s project was make complete design of laboratory prototype (scheme, layout of printed circuit, part list and placemnet), realisation function of prototype and laboratory measurements.
System for computer measurement of transistor characteristics
Krásl, Martin ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis is focused on methods of measuring the characteristics of transistors in three basic connections. There is an example of the characteristic obtained from the simulator for each of the connections. Differential parameters are obtained from the resulting characteristics. These parameters describe a linearized equivalent circuit diagram of the transistor. To automate the process of obtaining characteristics, the next step of this work is the design and construction of the analyzer. The function of individual parts of the hardware is described in detail in the individual chapters. A computer application was created to control the analyzer. This application serves as the user interface. The conclusion of this thesis is a guide for a demonstration laboratory task.
Techniques of time-domain analysis of interconnects.
Lábsky, Balázs ; Petržela, Jiří (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This work deals with techniques of time-domain analysis of interconnects. After a studying crucial issue of time-domain analysis of interconnects methods of modeling and simulation simple interconnects in electrotechnics are described. For transient effect analysis two elementary methods can be used: the state variable method and the FDTD (Finite - Difference Time - Domain) method. The FDTD method can be used to solve partial differential equations in time domain, for instance equations of transmission lines. The method is very effective and delivers satisfactory results in case of linear and non-linear lines with a single “live” conductor. The method can be easily programmed in Matlab.
Design of switch-mode audio power amplifier
Macek, Libor ; Petržela, Jiří (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This paper is divided into four parts. The first part deals with the description and explanation of the general principles of switching concept amplifiers. The second part is occupied with design of Class-D amplifier, a description of each block and calculations. A significant part of proposal of amplifier is based on simulations from programs Pspice and Filter Free. In the third part deign of power unit is discussed. The last part is focused on the measurement results on a prototype device.
Design of triple laboratory power supply
Gerbel, Patrik ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This semestral thesis deals with designing triple laboratory power supply. There are three outputs in the device. One of them is built with switching regulator LTM4605 and it‘s output voltage can be regulated in the range of 0 to 6 volts. Maximal output current is 5A. The rest is realized as linear with voltage regulated output of 0 to 30V and adjustable current limitattions in range of 0 to 3 A. Output parameters are registered by double microcontrollers and shown on two LCD displays.
Board computer with GPS module for motorbike
Kaláb, Lukáš ; Vyskočil, Pavel (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and subsequent construction of a board computer for a motorbike, using a GPS module. Vehicle speed, distance travelled and the motor's rotations (RPM) are among the basic elements that are measured and shown. Furthermore, the mechanism allows one to measure and show the average consumption, the temperature of the surrounding environment as well as the motor's temperature, battery voltage, current time, and, with the help of the GPS module, the current GPS location of the vehicle, including altitude. The vehicle's entire journey can be saved to the memory card for further processing in a PC.
Design of sound reinforcement system
Košarišťan, Miroslav ; Hruboš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This Master´s thesis deals with sound apparatus. The first part is a theoretical explanation of the main part of the equipment, such as microphones, amplifiers, proofreaders, switches and speakers. Another section is devoted to the design itself, starting with the block diagram which is followed by the design of single important parts. These are made as PCB. For select-ed diagrams there is an example of PSpice program simulations and the measurement of important characteristics. The essential part of the work also addresses constructional pro-cessing of apparatus. At the end of this thesis some examples of the PCB are introduced.
Quadrophonic audio amplifier for home use
Gavlák, Antonín ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor work describes the design quadraphonic audio amplifiers for home use that works in class AB. The proposal includes a correction preamplifier integrated circuit LM1036 and power amplifier monolithic integrated circuit LM3886 to the output impedance of 8 with appropriate cooling power element. The work also deals with suitable power supply units and soft start circuit for the amplifier. The work contains materials for the construction of a functional prototype of the low-frequency power amplifier and the results of laboratory measurements.
Vacuum-tube headphone amplifier
Čapka, Jiří ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor‘s thesis was a complete design and realization of a vacuum-tube headphone amplifier built on the basis of a modern vacuum-tubes. Amplifier should be able to operate in the range of load impedance from 32 to 320 ?. Another aim of the project was to design and construct a power supply unit and a passive equalizer circuit for the amplifier. The project is limited to the amplifier without output transformer (so-called output transformer-less - OTL). The proposed appliance was simulated in PSpice program. An integral part of the project was to design PCB using software Eagle. The simulation results were compared with manual design and measurement results.
Design of switching-mode regulated power supply
Zelinková, Lenka ; Kováč,, Michal (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
The thesis addresses the conceptual design and implementation of the switched-mode power supply having the adjustable dc voltage output up to 25V and current output up to 15A. The half-bridge topology is used for this supply. Design features and quantities are simulated in PSpice and Micro-Cap simulation tools. The thesis covers the simulation results, assembly data and the results measured on the implemented functional sample.
