Space Naval Combat - Space Battle Simulator
Krijt, Filip ; Klímek, Jakub (advisor) ; Malý, Jakub (referee)
The goal of this project is to try and implement a space action game Space Naval Combat utilizing the .NET framework and at the same time explore the potential of using the individual technologies of this platform for game development. In particular, the project involves using the following technologies: Windows Communications Foundation, Windows Presentation Foundation and LINQ to SQL combined with ASP.NET. The project also uses an open source library Lidgren Network, which is based on the UDP protocol, for network communication between the client and server components of the game. A crucial part of the project is also the utilization of the well-known nVidia PhysX physical simulation library, or rather its wrapper - Stilldesign PhysX.NET.
Analyzer of Algebraic Expressions
Šudoma, Petr ; Knap, Tomáš (advisor) ; Klímek, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's degree project is to analyze problems of computer simplifications of algebraic expressions and to create a program capable of performing such simplifications not involving human supervision. The first part provides a detailed analysis of expressions and their simplifications as well and objectives of such simplifications. It suggests and describes a formal language of expressions and presents a description of this formal language semantics. The second part of the project provides specific computer representation implementation of the language and a program capable of simplifying algebraic expressions. It contains a description of classes and algorithms used, examination of possibilities and explanation of suggested solutions.
Similarity of XML Data
Stárka, Jakub ; Holubová, Irena (advisor) ; Klímek, Jakub (referee)
In the present work we study the possibilities of reverse engineering of XML schemas. The work contains a survey of XML and commonly used languages for describing XML schemas, an overview of existing techniques for conceptual modeling, reverse engineering and methods for the mapping evaluation between XML schemas. A new method, based on analysis of the conceptual model XSEM and the subsequent creation of a decision tree, is introduced. The method allows effectively nd a mapping from XML schemas to models XSEM. The work also describes a new technique for selection of the path between the mapped classes. Finally, the work contains a number of experiments that show the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed solutions.
Tool for Collaborative XML Schema Integration
Meluzín, Jiří ; Nečaský, Martin (advisor) ; Klímek, Jakub (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to develop a technique for collaborative creation of mappings of two XML schemas. More precisely, it will support a concurrent participation of several users at the same mapping via the Web. The method will be based on current XML schema mapping techniques but will extend them with the support for collaboration. The developed technique will be implemented in a user-friendly web application. The tool will support concurrent change operations invoked by the collaborating users, their merging and/or prioritization. Moreover, it will also keep previous versions of the mapping so it will be possible to return to an arbitrary previous version.
Evoluce XML schémat
Klímek, Jakub
In the present work we study possibilities in the area of XML schema evolution. The thesis contains a survey of conceptual modeling of XML data, schema matching and XML schema evolution. A new semi-automatic technique of connecting XML schemas to a conceptual model based on XSEM, a model for conceptual modeling of XML data based on MDA, is presented. It makes the design and maintenance of a set of XML schemas in an information system simpler and easier. In addition, the thesis contains a set of evolution operations allowing changes in the conceptual model to be automatically propagated to the connected XML schemas.

XML Schema Evolution
Malý, Jakub ; Klímek, Jakub (referee) ; Holubová, Irena (advisor)
In the presented work we study the XML data evolution, reasons and consequences of XML schema evolution in particular. The thesis contains a survey of the existing approaches to this problem. The approach presented in this work extends the XSem conceptual model with the support for multiple versions of the model. Thanks to this extension, it is possible to define a set of changes between two versions of a schema. The thesis contains a description of an algorithm that compares two versions of a schema and produces a revalidation script in XSL.
Správa knihovny
Marchenko, Maryna ; Klímek, Jakub (referee) ; Nečaský, Martin (advisor)
In the given thesis all the steps of studying and writing a program for the management of a library are worked out. In the rst chapter the requirements of the client ordering this software are analyzed. The possible solutions are o ered. In the next part a study about barcodes and barcode readers is given, as the books and users of the library will be given barcodes. The third chapter includes a precise user documentation, explaining how to use the program. Next there is a programmer documentation explaining some interesting parts of the code and introducing the programming language that was chosen. It is then that a conclusion is made and possible future improvements are proposed.
Accounting software for OS X
Váša, Kryštof ; Klímek, Jakub (referee) ; Novotný, Miroslav (advisor)
This work implements a tax management application target primarily for the MacOS X platform. It focuses on a user-friendly interface and supports custom invoice printing, printing of income, expense, VAT overviews. It includes modules for invoicing, cataloguing bank statements, has a Cashier module, a modules to keep track of your business trips, storage, it supports both import and export of the records. It is targeted for smaller businesses and tradesmen. It is not meant to be used by professional accountants. The core is written in C++, the UI in Objective-C (framework Cocoa), hence it runs natively on MacOS X.
Visualization in vector spaces
Klímek, Jakub ; Hladík, Milan (referee) ; Fiala, Jiří (advisor)
The goal was to create a set of Java applets, which would serve as an addition to the teaching of Linear algebra. These applets make possible to compute with rational numbers, real numbers, complex numbers and Zp - integers modulo prime p using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. It is also possible to compute with vectors of elements of those spaces using addition and subtraction of vectors and multiplication and division by scalar. In addition, the vector calculator can figure coordinates of a vector, determine a linearly independent subset of vectors and, when in standard scalar product space, figure an orthogonal projection onto a subspace generated by a set of vectors. The advantage of these applets is their ease of use simulating a classical handheld calculator.
