Study of Metal Oxides and Hydroxides in Aqueous Solutions
Špičák, Petr ; Trnková, Libuše (referee) ; Kadlec, Jaromír (referee) ; Kazelle, Jiří (advisor)
This dissertation work deals with analysis of nickel hydroxide phases, their oxidation compounds, their stability and degradation mechanisms of electrochemically more active alpha phase on standard beta phase. The active material was prepared by both methods, electrodeposition and chemical precipitation. Main analysis method was Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance in combination with common analytical methods (cyclic voltammetry, potenciometry) can resolute between alpha and beta phases and quantitatively describe differences in main reaction by monitoring mass changes in the active material. Poor stability of the ?-Ni(OH)2 were improved by adding cations with valence two three and four into the structure instead of Ni atoms. The most important role plays cobalt and its hydroxide. Totally new way is to use titanium in combination with other cations. In electrolyte the most significant addition is LiOH, which has beneficial influent on cycle ability, stability in strong alkaline medium and cycle life.
Study of Electrochemical Insertion Cations to the Oxides of Transitive Metals
Svoboda, Vít ; Kadlec, Jaromír (referee) ; Trnková, Libuše (referee) ; Kazelle, Jiří (advisor)
Electrochromic devices are based on the intercalation processes to the active layer mostly WO3. The optical properties of active layer are changed by intercalation ions from the electrolyte. For that purpose are used Li ions. The mass of thin layer can be observed by the QCM method. This method is based on the changes of the resonance frequency of a quartz crystal resonator. The investigated substance is deposited on the surface of the resonator. Various metals (Pt, Au, Ag) and their compounds should be plated on the resonator. Most frequently, the resonators for the frequency 5,0 MHz are used. This frequency change is used for the detection of chemical changes of the electrode surface and is very sensitive.
Study of intercalation and covalent bond of doxorubicin into deoxyribonucleic acid using voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy
Kynclová, Hana ; Trnková, Libuše (referee) ; Hubálek, Jaromír (advisor)
Doxorubicine is one of the most used anticancer medicaments nowadays. Improvement of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry was investigated influence of doxorubicine to sensitive cells and resistibility cells.
Aerobic exercise and its impact on human health.
TRNKOVÁ, Lenka
This bachelor's thesis contains a comprehensive overview of aerobic exercises and its physiological aspects on human health. Introduction is focused on characteristics of aerobic exercises and the importance of physical activity as prevention, followed by a more detailed analysis of physiological aspects of physical activity on a human health and it continues with next section about heart rate. The heart rate section is also associated with the cardiac stress test and cardiopulmonary exercise test. Other section describes the intake of food and drink during exercises, food supplements and weight reduction in correlation with physical activity. The last section presents the examples of aerobic physical activities which are divided to outdoor, indoor and water activities. The result of this dissertation is a comprehensive overview of aerobic activities and their consequences and is intended for the general public.
The European Union and phenomenon of migration - Slovenian case
TRNKOVÁ, Lucie
On the beginning of the diploma thesis the student will deal with the issue of migration in general terms, brief explanation of basic terms also from the internatioal law point of view will be presented. Diploma thesis first addresses the phenomenon of migration in general, briefly explains the basic concepts and typology. After this theoretical definition the focus shifts to more practical plane, focusing on selected global migration trends that are currently taking place within the European Union, and approaches to international law on immigration issue, including the European Union's attempt to create a common asylum and migration policy . The final part of the thesis is essentially an analytical study of migration issues on the territory of Slovenia, a relatively prospective member of the European Union with {\clq}qBalkan" history, and his position due to the shaping of their own at first, then Europe's asylum and migration policy.
Study of hydrogen evolution on PIGE and HMDE electrodes
Klosová, K. ; Barath, Peter ; Trnková, L.
Hydrogen evolution on a paraffin impregnated graphite electrode (PIGE) and hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) has been studied by linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) and elimination voltammetry with linear scan (EVLS).
The voltammetric analysis based on electrolyte signal
Holík, M. ; Halámek, Josef ; Mikelová, R. ; Trnková, L.
The voltammetric measurements of Hetero-oligodeoxynucleotides ODNs: 5´-CCC AAA CCC- 3´, 5´-CAC CACCAC- 3´, and 5´-ACC CAC CCA- 3´ on AUTOLAB 20 (EcoChemie, The Netherlands) were analyzed with different baseline correction - linear, exponential, polynomial and with shape defined by signal of electrolyte. The best results were achieved with correction based on electrolyte and exponential shape.
