Comparative analysis of chosen muscles in locomotion through shoulder girdle

The research was conducted in an intentionally chosen sample of ten probands with high level of performance in whitewater slalom. We watched activity of ten selected muscles during canoe forward stroke, on simulator, diagonal pull, stretch of arms with elastic resistance, dumbbell pulls and pull ups by surface electromyography. Study evaluates intraindividual and subsequently interindividual the size of the muscle activation considering reference movement, forward stroke on flat water. The results proved similarities of the forward stroke and on simulator in terms of average muscle activation. Results: We have found differences in timing of muscle activation between the pre- and the post-test. Title: Comparative analysis of the crawl pattern and specific exercises. Purpose: The aim of the dissertation is to evaluate the coordination similarity ratio of involvement of selected muscles during the crawl swimming cycle as a target movement with imitation movement acts. Methods: The research study has the character of an intra-individual and inter- individual comparative analysis of the coordination characteristics of the movement system. This is a sequential triangulation of a quantitative-qualitative approach and an intragroup case study with an experimental way of getting data. Results: Muscle activation of selected muscles during the crawl did not show a significant difference in effect size compared to the imitation movements on the Biokinetic swimming simulator and exercising with swimming expanders. Title: Upper body muscles activity in V2 skating technique, double poling and on a skiing machine Concept 2 Objectives: Comparison of involvement upper body muscles during V2 skating technique, double poling and on a skiing machine Concept 2. Methods: Comparative analysis: the dates were measured by surface electromyography and 2-D video-analysis. Results: We found statistically significant coordination similarity by comparisons muscle preactivation and activation during V2 skating technique and double poling. Trunk flexors musculus obliquus abdominis externus and musculus rectus abdominis showed unlike the main propulsion muscles, musculus pectoralis major, musculus triceps brachii and musculus latissimus dorsi, significantly higher preactivation during V2 skating technique and double poling in comparison to skiing machine Concept 2. Activation of the main propulsion muscles on a skiing machine Concept 2 is significantly higher than during V2 skating technique and double poling. Skiing machine Concept 2 cannot be considered as a specific training method for cross-country skiing. Long-term application may cause disruption of double poling technique. Title: Comparative of muscle activity during the cycling step with the use of clipless and normal pedals. Objectives: Diploma thesis objective is to compare muscle activity during pedaling cycle with/without clipless pedal. Using EMG we want to establishe, if 6 chosen muscles are showing significant involvement difference for pedaling with/without clipless pedals. Methods: It is combination of empirical - theoretical thesis. Our work consists of intra- and interindividual comparative analytical study. We used two comparative methods for EMG signal evaluation - Pearson correlation coefficient and comparison with use of signed area of the region bounded by its graph. Results: The results of the correlation analysis show a high degree of compliance of the average normalized envelope diagrams for a cycling step with and without clipless. Title: Kinesiological analysis of the rowing stroke on a single scull and on a rowing ergometer Concept 2 comparison Purposes: The purpose of the present study was to determine a specific structure in timing of selected muscles during two movement patterns - rowing on a single scull and rowing on an ergometer Concept 2. Methods: By surface electromyography we recorded muscular activity, synergies and involvement throughout mean cycle of the rowing stroke. Results: The mutual correlations of mean EMG curves of all measured muscles showed, that there were not found any differences in inter-locomotive synchronization of selected muscles. Established values of correlation (r) showed higher level of dynamic balance (performance similarity between both measured activities. Determination of the muscular activity timing considering onsets and cessations, was in the percentual results explication of the movement cycle inter-locomotive different. Conclusion: Results showed a great similarity in synergies organizing the muscular coordination in between both measured physical activities. But timing of the movement was different in the moments of muscular activity onsets during rowing and during ergometer rowing. This may be attributed to the specificity of on-water locomotion. Comparison of the coordination characteristics of the step of walking on the run trainer and on the natural ground

Title: Walking step coordination characteristic comparison for walking on running simulator and off-road walking. Objectives: Goal of the thesis is to measure, analyze and evaluate data of activity and involvement of lower limb muscles for offroad walking and walking on running simulator. The measured characteristic will be intra-individually and extra-individually compared. Method: Surface polyelectromyography method for data measurement and kineziological movement analysis method for values comparison are used in the thesis. Ten muscles of lower limb (2  5 muscles on left and right lower limb) were chosen. Results: Ten lower limb muscles were chosen and their activity for walking on running simulator and offroad walking was measured by surface polyelectromyography method on ten sportsmen. The results indicate that chosen muscles participate on monitored movement. The analysis shows that the muscles activity follows the same order for each of tested sportsmen independently on the external condition (running simulator and offroad walking). The thesis that correlation of measured values is higher for running simulator have been confirmed. But m.gluteus.med. and m.glut.max. have variation in the activity of the involvement in the field and on the treadmill. Similar results have also m.vastus med....
Changes of coordination of the athletic sprint before and after the performance of special running exercises

This doctoral thesis deals with the kinesiological analysis of the athletic run - sprint. The aim of the thesis is the time characteristics comparison and switching on of the muscles which are working during the sprint before and after the performance of special running exercises. It is becoming much more important to use the special training procedures during training sessions. The special running exercises are performed almost daily during training sessions of sprinters. The question is to what extent their performance is evident on the activation of muscles. The qualitative and quantitative results show the activation of muscles during sprint before and after the performance of the special running exercises. The main tool of the research was the surface EMG analysis of muscles during a 30-metre long sprint. The content of the research were two comparative analysis, where 8 proband participated - interindividual and intraindividual. During the evaluation process we considered the quantitative and qualitative components. On the basic of the reached results we may say that there is no diference between the run before and after the performance of special running exercises.
