Low pressure sewer systems design
Macsek, Tomáš ; Beránek, Josef (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with designing of low pressure sewer systems. It summarizes the general designing knowledge of low pressure sewers and pumping stations, summarizes the technical requirements according to Czech water companies for low pressure sewer systems and compares them with the established technical standards. The thesis also contains the search and comparison of several equation methods used to define the amount of designed flow of the low pressure sewers, in addition to reviewing the present situation of the pumping station, considering the technical standards and technical requirements.
Pumps catalogue for low pressure sewer networks
Klučka, Tomáš ; Macsek, Tomáš (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The thesis describes the actual situation and principles in designing low pressure sewer networks in accordance with czech and european standards, charasteristics and overview of low pressure sewer systems in the Czech republic and abroad. Next part includes the separation of sewage pumps, their technical requirements, properties and detailed exploration of pump testing. The catalogue contains almost 50 pumps from 17 different manufacturers. Finally, the experience gained and the possibilities of further solution of the given problems are emphatized.
Hydraulic analysis of the Brno - Bystrc water supply system
Hofmannová, Lenka ; Tauš, Miloslav (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is focused on the hydraulic analysis of water storage Brno – Bystrc. The structure is devided into three parts. The first part is devoted to the research of used and applied methods and all available software tools, especially to the EPANET 2.0 programme, which was used during solving of given issue. The thesis also deals with description of specific campaign, which is the integral part of conducted analysis, and with the very hydraulic analysis, process and with the interpretation of acquired results outcome. The last part is dedicated to methodology of determining of the hydraulic capacity in chosen selected hydrants, which are not primarily intended for the fire protection, in the view of the CSN 73 0873 - Fire protection of buildings- Equipment for fire-water supply.
Assessment of minimal night-flows in the water supply network
Nováková, Jana ; Korabík,, Michal (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on assessement of the minimum night flow in the water supply system. The first part of the work is focused on the research of foreign and Czech literature in the area of evaluation of water losses in water systems, evaluation and measurement of minimum night flow and comparison of values of individual indicators in the Czech Republic. In the practical part of the thesis, the minimum night flow is estimated and the water losses indicators are determined for selected DMA of Vsetin´s watter supply system, which is operated by VaK Vsetin, a.s.
Simulation of the chlorine concentration in the water-supply network
Rajnochová, Markéta ; Biela, Renata (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis is focused on simulation of the concentration of free chlorine in the water supply network of the village of Kateřinice. For the simulation, the EPANET 2.0 software tool was used for construction of a mathematical simulation model for the existing water supply network of the village. Subsequently, the model was calibrated and verified on the basis of data obtained from the measurement of water quality in the distribution network. The aim was to calibrate the simulation model of water quality so as to best simulate the concentration of free chlorine in all areas of the village’s water supply network. Also, the optimal dose of chlorine for the village was determined using the model. Furthermore, in the bachelor thesis it was examined if controlled flushing has an impact on the rate of decay of free chlorine.
Water demand in water supply systems
Pikal, Martin ; Tureček, Jan (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
Within this diploma thesis were evaluated factors, affecting consumption of drinking water from water supply system. Evaluation of time series of water consumption and chosen factors was performed using tools of mathematical statistics. In the last step was performed a dependence analysis of water consumption using artificial neuron network ANN. Diploma thesis was solved in cooperation with company Vodárenská akciová společnost, PLC and Severomoravské vodovody a kanalizace Ostrava, PCL.
Hydraulic analysis of small water supply system
Sucháček, Tomáš ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This document aims on aplication of sophisticated software programs to accomplish hydraulic analysis of real water supply. In this work is stated a list and description of software enabling to accomplish static or long-term hydraulic analysis of water supply when the most world used program EPANET 2.0 is described more deeply. There is described working of a EPANET and his algorithm also there are explain principles on which EPANET is based. During the hydraulic analysis of real system was used two sophisticated software it were MikeNet and EPANET 2.0. With using these two sophisticated programs was processed hydraulic analysis of chosen water supply of small consumption area, during this analysis was studied influence of method distribution node´s demand on achieved results also was created map of velocity in water pipeline. This work is first step for continuing Master´s thesis which will be using results of hydraulic analysis for create plan of elimination sludge in water supply.
Analysis of the age of water in the pressure sewer network
Zuzaňák, René ; Nevrlý, Robert (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the age of wastewater in the pressure sewer network in the village of Horní Ředice, Pardubice district. In the introductory part of the thesis the current state of the problem is presented. The second part focuses on general principles for design and operation of pressure sewers. In the practical part, the area of interest was first characterized and the sewerage system in the municipality was described. A quasidynamic hydraulic model of the entire pressure sewer network was developed to determine the age values of the wastewater in the pressure sewer network. The operating conditions were projected in the simulation model of EPANET 2.2. Pressure ratios, wastewater age, flow velocities and flows in the pressure sewer network were considered in the processing of the hydraulic analysis results. Based on the results of the hydraulic analysis, measures to improve the conditions in the pressure sewer network were proposed.
Risk analysis of the Hradek water supply system
Hofmannová, Lenka ; Svoboda,, Miroslav (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on risk analysis of water supply system in a small community. The WaterRisk project was solved by using tools of risk management including risk identification and quantification in the field of public water supply systems. Methodology and software for the risk management of water supply were evolved by using this project. In this thesis there is applied the methodology to the water supply system of Hradek village. The hydraulic analysis was performed for a thorough knowledge of water supply and its characteristic behavior. Risk analysis could be performed thanks to the knowledge of the entire system, its working and the most common faults. Analysis results are evaluated and compared for the water supply system which is consider like a system simple and complex. The corrective actions eliminate number of risks. These actions were proposed like a part of complex methodology. Further, there were determined optimal costs which corresponds with these corrective actions.
Alternative design of the Dětkovice sewer network
Vrána, Radek ; Beránek, Josef (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to elaborate alternative designs of the Dětkovice sewer network. The first part deals with reasons of this work and the area of interest. In the next part the thesis deals with describe of current condition and proposed alternative designs. Furthermore, the economic assessment of alternative designs is elaborate.
