Implementation of IoT communication technologies in NS-3 simulation tool
Rehberger, Marek ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Juráň, Radovan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals in its theoretical part with LPWA communication technologies in the licensed frequency spectrum, specific technologies LTE Cat-M1 and NB-IoT. The theoretical part summarizes the terms concerning to LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network), licensed and unlicensed technologies, SmartGrids, NB-IoT and LTE Cat-M1. The use of LPWA technologies in the field of SmartGrids is described and the idea of Smart Metering in buildings is used in the work. Subsequently, in the practical part for the LTE Cat-M1 technology, the implementation of communication scenarios for data transmission within SmartGrids is performed using the tools Network Simulator 3 (NS-3) and the LENA module. The results of the simulations are clearly processed in the form of graphs and tables.
UWB Automated Testing Tool
Charvát, Jan ; Juráň, Radovan (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the process of automating the testing of wireless locators. These devices use the UWB system, which is introduced in the theoretical part of this thesis. Furthermore, the topic of the testing process and the possibilities of its automation are discussed. The practical part of this thesis is devoted to the design and construction of an automated test fixture for UWB locators, both hardware and software part.
Recoil forces measurement after shot
Juráň, Radovan ; Prokeš, Aleš (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis focuses on designing device for recoil forces measurement. First part – the semestral project of winter semester 2016/2017 – was focused on the hardware design. Programming of the firmware and also the software for getting data to PC was created in the summer semester to complete the bachelors thehis as a whole.
Field sensor network for microclimatological measurements
Intelligent wattmeter with network communication options (Ethernet / WiFi)
Haluška, Daniel ; Juráň, Radovan (referee) ; Rusz, Martin (advisor)
The goal of the Bachelor Thesis is the implementation of a measuring device for measuring alternating voltage, current and calculating of power consumption. A voltage divider with one-way offset is used for voltage measurement, and the ACS712 integrated circuit with a Hall sensor provides electric current measurement. The Arduino singleboard computer, for which the OLED display is suitable, takes care of the representation and calculation of the electrical power. Furthermore, this device allows communication with the Internet and through the server allows a simple graphical display of measured data. The manufactured measuring device allows measuring power regular outlet up to 3680 W.
Rule-based Engine for Position Data: Low-code/No-code Approach to Process Logic
Vychodilova, Natalie ; Juran, Radovan
Real-time location systems (RTLS) are becoming astandard part of modern digitized industrial facilities, enablingacquistition of position data of objects or people tracked in agiven monitored area. These systems can utilize the virtualizedcoordinates to divide the real space into user-defined digital zonesand give them meaning within a process. This paper describesthe design and implementation of a commercial RTLS systemextension, intended to eliminate the need for programming anycomplex position data processing by leveraging Low-code/Nocodeapproach to creating process logic in a user friendly way.
Back to the Future: Developing an On-Board System for a Vintage Motorcycle
Sevcik, Jan ; Juran, Radovan
This paper describes complex design of a prototypeof an on-board system for older motorcycle for measuring itsoperational characteristics. The birth of the idea is described, followed by explanation of characteristics measured by thesystem, principles of their measurement, and processing the datafor visualization on a display. The system is designed with theaim of the most minimal intervention into the construction ofthe motorcycle, but being easy to reproduce and durable enoughfor a real deployment and use while riding the motorcycle.
Methods of data fusion from disparate sensors for localization
Ioani, Leida ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Juráň, Radovan (advisor)
Tato práce je zaměřena na UWB technologii, konkrétně nový IEEE 802.15.4z standart a IMU senzory. Cílem je popsat princip pozicování pomocí UWB, bezpečnostní prvky, možnosti překonání potenciálních hrozeb a vylepšení přesnosti lokalizace v reálném čase pomocí fúze dat s IMU. Praktická část porovnává několik optimalizačních algoritmů pro pozicování.
Design of the on-board system for a motorcycle
Ševčík, Jan ; Benešl, Lukáš (referee) ; Juráň, Radovan (advisor)
This work deals with the design and construction of an on-board computer for a vintage Jawa motorcycle. The design combines measuring sensors of our own design and those commonly available on the market, a main control board of our own design and assembly without interfering with the structure of the motorcycle. The system is considered for mounting on the Jawa 250/592 motorcycle, with some parts from other motorcycles, allowing for easier fitting. ESP32 from Espresiff is used as a microcontroller, which is placed in the tank of the motorcycle and displays the measured data on the LCD display. The system also allows you to control the entire motorcycle, such as enabling starting or turning on the lights
Low-code / No-code rule based engine for positioning data
Vychodilová, Natálie ; Bohačík, Antonín (referee) ; Juráň, Radovan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the design and implementation of a software system intended to eliminate programming needs for selected process problems. This system allows the user to create rules over positional data. It addresses design of the server and client parts of the application, design of the database and user interface. The design of the web application is based on knowledge of UWB technology and RTLS systems.
