Detection of car approach speed using camera imge processing
Kovář, Jan ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Šmirg, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis deals with digital image processing, from the initial acquisition of digital picture frames, subsequent processing segmentation and algorithms to detect visual shapes on the scene. Image processing is a very broad topic, so here are analyzed for more understanding of the fundamental principles of perception and processing of video signals, image representation, his starting shooting through filters governing digital image processing methods to detect the objects in an image. It is also demonstrated by the size dependence of the object in the image on the distance from the camera, whereby we can determine the speed of approaching or moving away from the object. We will show you the specific determination of the distance we need to know the actual result size of the object. This is because the ratio between the size of the object depending on the distance is the same for each object. Finally, this work presents the resulting image frames for implementation using OpenCV library.
Detection of parts of human body in an image
Křivánek, Filip ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Šmirg, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with algorithms for human figure detection in video. It describes, practically tests and evaluates algorithms called Histogram of Oriented Gradients and Haar Cascade Classifier. Testing program was written in C++ language with use of OpenCV library. The aim is to find the approximate location of individual body parts in the area of the detected human figure. The detection was tested on a video sequence and various image processing methods were selected. Techniques such as thresholding, background subtraction, finding the largest of contours or optical flow were employed. The result of thesis is to find points which represent concrete body part.
Using the Kinect sensor in detection of people
Janás, Lukáš ; Šmirg, Ondřej (referee) ; Přinosil, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the methods of people detection by using Microsoft Kinect. Depth image captured by this device is further processed by using standard algorithms from freely available OpenCV library. All of image processing methods are described in detail of their function and influence to image. The practical part of the work is focused on the realization of a simple program, which is serving for image segmentation and finding people.
Scalable preprocessing of data using Hadoop tool
Marinič, Michal ; Šmirg, Ondřej (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
The thesis is concerned with scalable pre-processing of data using Hadoop tool which is used for processing of large volumes of data. In the first theoretical part it focuses on explaining of functioning and structure of the basic elements of Hadoop distributed file system and MapReduce methods for parallel processing. The latter practical part of the thesis describes the implementation of basic Hadoop cluster in pseudo-distributed mode for easy program-debugging, and also describes an implementation of Hadoop cluster in fully-distributed mode for simulation in practice.
A realization of modular web system
Kašparec, Michal ; Šmirg, Ondřej (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the current conception of PHP frameworks and their main characteristics. Creating the content management system with using sophisticated administration interface and access rights. There is realization a module for recording and evaluation of power consumption with enabling to display the power consumption.
Videoconferencing Application
Jandera, Pavel ; Šmirg, Ondřej (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
Videoconferencing is a modern way of communication, in which the participants carry picture and sound and during transmission can also exchange various data. The aim of this work is to create an application for the connection of up to eight participants to videoconferencing and create a web interface to facilitate configuration of this application. Videoconferences types and the feasibility are described in the first part of this work. Furthermore, the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) protocol used to production of multimedia sessions is described. RADVISION IVP system was selected to the implementation of videoconferencing application. IVP is a complex system for the operation of videoconferencing, which allows implementing and operating various types of services. Basic components of system are described in next section of this work. Second part of this work describes interface for applications creating that IVP offers to programmers. The main part of this work is the design and implementation of video conferencing application that is realized as an IVP service. There is described the implementation and testing. A web interface to facilitate the configuration of video conferencing applications has been designed and implemented. This interface also allows the service provider to manage user accounts. The web interface was implemented in Java EE.
Creating 3D Model of Temporomandibular Joint
Šmirg, Ondřej ; Bartušek, Karel (referee) ; Liberda,, Ondřej (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The dissertation thesis deals with 3D reconstruction of the temporomandibular joint from 2D slices of tissue obtained by magnetic resonance. The current practice uses 2D MRI slices in diagnosing. 3D models have many advantages for the diagnosis, which are based on the knowledge of spatial information. Contemporary medicine uses 3D models of tissues, but with the temporomandibular joint tissues there is a problem with segmenting the articular disc. This small tissue, which has a low contrast and very similar statistical characteristics to its neighborhood, is very complicated to segment. For the segmentation of the articular disk new methods were developed based on the knowledge of the anatomy of the joint area of the disk and on the genetic-algorithm-based statistics. A set of 2D slices has different resolutions in the x-, y- and z-axes. An up-sampling algorithm, which seeks to preserve the shape properties of the tissue was developed to unify the resolutions in the axes. In the last phase of creating 3D models standard methods were used, but these methods for smoothing and decimating have different settings (number of polygons in the model, the number of iterations of the algorithm). As the aim of this thesis is to obtain the most precise model possible of the real tissue, it was necessary to establish an objective method by which it would be possible to set the algorithms so as to achieve the best compromise between the distortion and the model credibility achieve.
Linux user interface using camera
Dolníček, Petr ; Beneš, Radek (referee) ; Šmirg, Ondřej (advisor)
The goal of this was to create a fully functional program coded in C++, which is capable of real time object detection and mouse positioning in operating system Linux. Object detection is based on recognizing desired color and shape from webcam input. In this case it was a red circle. The main part of source code was generated via application Harpia. This is an application especially created for purposes of object tracking, border detection and picture processing. Most of used functions belong to OpenCV library. This library, as well as Harpia application, was created for computer vision, so it has many functions especially for purposes of my program. You can find many information about edge detection, color filtering and noise reduction in this document. I have also managed to control mouse cursor according to data that program detects. My program fulfils its purpose.
